Sup guys! Some of you may have disdainfully noticed my thread on that site which shall not be named, but I thought I would start a build thread on this site as well so as to gain access to your extensive knowledge.Long story short, I bought a beat up 07 speed 3 as my first car (never needed one before), and fell in love with car modification. This past summer I blew my engine, likely after oil starvation, from a combination of a leaky turbo and a healthy does of 'I am stupid'.
Despite living in temporary housing 400 miles from home and my usual support network, I set out to remove my engine with the help of a local car shop, borrowed a truck and towed the car home after dropping the engine off at a machine shop.
This is my first major car project, hell, it's the first time I've even looked inside of an engine. It's been an amazing experience so far, and I am looking forward to finally starting it up again. The critical rebuilding phase is going to start soon, expect to see updates in the next month or so.
