Clutch sticks......sorta

Maybe this has been asked or answered numerous times but I can’t find anything. I have an 08 and the clutch feels and works great when driving normal. However if you try to shift fast the clutch pedal doesn’t return fast. It’s weird, it doesn’t actually stick but it’s more like it starts to return but comes up just off the floor then slows down (the pedal) then returns normal. Not sure if this is a typical thing for these cars so I figured I’d ask here before I start throwing time and parts at it.

I’d start with new fluid. Be surprised what a bleed will do. Has the clutch been bled before?

Not that I’m aware of but I just got the car. I was going to start off by testing the fluid for moisture, then try flushing the system and bleeding. Really hoping that’s the problem but I doubt I get that lucky
