Corksport short shifter issues

I saw another thread on this - center console blocking shifter - and that guy had the SS with the 4 holes for the throw. I'm assuming CS did a revision as mine that I just bought direct from CS has three holes per row for the throw.

I got it installed and A.) the shifter does not sit center in the console. The OEM has a swivel in the shifter to make it centered in the console. The other thing is that the trim gets in the way for going into 1st/3rd/5th gear. Particularly in 3rd as I don't feel the gear engage on the shifter.

I followed the directions and also watched videos but did I do anything wrong? I also used the CS bushing set for the shifter housing assembly.

I checked my order email from CS and I did order the correct one for my 2nd gen - 2011.IMG_0679.jpg IMG_0680.jpg IMG_0681.jpg

Adjust it. The orange bit on the driver side cable lets you adjust the side to side position. I recommend you put it in reverse then unlock the adjustment and put the boot on it to see where you want it, then lock it there.
As for the trim issue, not sure. Might have to use a different hole on the arm, like maybe the front top one.

Thanks, Enki.

I had to mess with it a bit as I did too much and couldn’t get the car to go into reverse but got it worked out.

I also prefer the car with the stock shift plate and counter weight over the CS short shifter plate and counter weight.
