Create me this.

Probably a couple weeks until I blast my valves. Will see how this plastic likes walnuts.

I have the capability to print these out of stainless or aluminum if the interest is there. W have multiple dmls printers at work that could whip these out of stainless in no time. Hell, I could machine up a bunch as well. It would probably be quicker.

3D printed pieces were just done to try out the design. If/when they go to production, they will be machined aluminum. As you mentioned, it would be faster.

Pretty cool that you have that printing capability, though.

Keep me in mind if you want or need something done. I can provide a quick turnaround for you and Matt. Plus, it's a great excuse to meet up with you. Haven't seen you guys in a while.

Ended up being easier than I thought. May have a local try it out or something, but don't see why it wouldn't work. Maybe put a groove all the way around for o-ring cord if needed, but it should stop most media without it. Could put a little barb on the valve end of the media hose if more velocity is needed.

If anyone with a 3d printer wants to try it out, shoot me an e-mail. Farhan@damondmotorsports.com
What is the tubing spec on this? I forgot to grab one on my way out, gotta get it today. What kind is it outside diameter?

Can't wait to see how this pans out. I have been putting off valve cleaning, but this could spark my interest in finally getting off my ass.

Got the pipe to penetrate the hole to shoot media. I'll probably use tape to seal it up.

@Raider will give more feedback on these.

No success story for us today.

Couldn't get enough vacuum through the plastic holes. The walnut media filled up the valves too quickly. We had faster results without it.

Someone else should try these and see if it works better for them.

I think I know what the problem may be, you didn't cup the balls when sucking.

crapatalk it sucks for free

It worked decently for me, I think what it boils down too is your vacuum setup. I also think it may have been more beneficial for the ports to be stacked instead of side by side.

Vacuum was our problem. I think bigger holes would have made the vacuum better, but would have made blasting messy. Essentially defeating the point of the plate anyway.

What was your blaster set up like?

My vacuum set up is a 2.5 maybe 3? Hp shopvac (I believe that's at the wheels too) with a 2 1/2 inch hose with an adaptor that fed it down to a tube that was the perfect size for the port on the plate.
