Nah that's not from shrinkage. I'll just bump the hole spacing out a bit. The holes are already free fit clearance holes for an M6 so they're 7mm. Just making the holes larger means there is higher misalignment between the bores on the mani/spacer/TB.
Cool I'll shoot you the step file when I get home from class.
Just ordered the cs tb so we will see how she do. With all the improvements to the fuel system and intercooler piping and now with the tb, it should really be a totally different animal...i hope
I need to quit being lazy and get versatune. I played around with their free download software to see how i like it and its not bad. Ive been so used to cobbs garbage that i hate to change stuff up but i probably will get varsatune and soon. I know a few months back i talked to steve about incorporating an ethanol sensor to adjust fuel scalars on the fly like other cars and they said it was in the works. That feature would force my hand for sure for the purchase. Ethanol blends straight from the pump (e30,e50,e85) are much more available here than 91. I would probably keep the cobb ap3 for viewing data and easy datalogging.
The main thing Versatune needs right now is faster logging. That has been a pain. Otherwise I have been really happy with it. They have promised faster logging for years though :-(
Yea thats why im not really in a big rush unless driveability with the cs tb is poor and i need the addtional throttle tables they offer. The software is growing on me though, every time i play around with it, makes me want to buy it. Logging id still do with the ap just so i dont have to have my laptop open. I need to consider what a lot of people are doing with a windows tablet mounted in the car somewhere. I wonder if their logging speed is hardware limited, do you know the logging speed in hz?
You would have to ask @steve@versatune what the speed is. I use a pretty beefy laptop to log and a wimpy tablet , both get the same resolution.
Logging speed is limited by the OEM ECU code. We need to rewrite the oem logging code and ours to make it faster. It's not a trivial task.
Newer ECUs like ND Miata log 4x faster then Gen 1 DISI.
See thats the kind of motivation i need to buy your product. I really enjoy the software and appreciate yall providing a free download so we can get used to tuning with it before we buy it.I think DISI is 50 pids/sec. My MS6 is alive again, so expect to see more DISI love soon.

My test was a straight before/after with no tune changes and seriously I didn't suffer at all with driveability. Downshifts were quicker, upshifts super smooth, and cruising down the road was no different than before (just additional power and whatnot). Only time it was noticeable was in HEAVY traffic where you are clutch in clutch out, 5mph, repeat. Note - I was using a 6-puck clutch, all sorts of head work, and a JMF so on/off throttle smoothness was already suffering before from that.
Well if that is the case then i will be very happy with it. I am most excited about the low end torque you made, pushing torque left a little. I dont drive the car in traffic not to mention i would have to drive 2 hours to the closest area that would even have the potential for stop and go traffic. I have a 6 puck ceramic clutch too so yea stop and go would be terrible already.
Running a larger cold side will affect it. Which I believe he is going to be running
You'll note that the throttle is also more responsive with the larger tb (since a smaller throttle input will yield more area open) and that actually helped me go from a stop to moving in 1st gear a bit. It helped it rev quicker and I could grab the clutch a little more naturally/easily as a result.
