Got the car at 82k had SRI and car back..

Had some major issues trusting a supposed Mazda shop out of Livermore CA to fix my car after my stock k04 started smoking at 100k.

Purchased ATP 3071r kit
Turbo XS dual core FMIC
HKS SSQV bov
Cobb HPFP
Cobb Accessport V3
Corksport DP + Full exhaust
Turbosmart ebcs solenoid
JB Motormounts

Shit show of a shop gave me back my car putting down 295whp.

From here im going to be fixing the tune via Freeeak and getting a 3 bar map sensor and a few other things.. got nothing but hate on the other forum because I got screwed by a shop just goes to show you how depressed and sad people can act online.

Hoping to get some real numbers out of my speed 3 and 3071... thanks for checking it out.. any tips or suggestions are much appreciated

Never go to VL motor sports in Livermore CA

Welcome and sorry you got screwed by that shop. I grew up in Fremont, actually. If you need help, Pete's Foreign Auto can help. They are not a custom shop, they are a repair facility but know their stuff. I was a customer and even worked there in the early 90s for Pete before he passed away.

If you remove the stupid side moldings, you will gain 5 hp, too.

Sorry didn't see that your said "Cobb hpfp" just an FYI the one that Cobb sells are auto tech hpfp internals, Cobb doesn't make any

Yah a few people have said that.. I'm sure Cobb wouldn't be selling it if it wasn't up to their standards so in my opinion it's just as good

What do you mean just as good? It literally I'd autotech, it even says it in the description of the item on their website

What I mean is if Cobb decided to sell a HPFP it's up to their high standards otherwise they wouldn't sell it... pretty straight forward...

Lulz. VL motorsports. You wouldn't be their first victim OP. Pennzoil all the way.

Also since you have a higher mileage car... you'd be keen to do a compression test just to make sure you're in good shape before getting a good tune. That 3071 is capable of much more than 295hp.

I got a compression test when I bought the car at 88k and everything was good in the mid 180s ... I didn't get it compression checked again after the turbo started smoking ... I will have to get compression checked

IMG_6036.PNG This is what @Awafrican; was talking about. Taken straight from cobbs website. Cobb doesn't make a fuel pump or internals, they just sell the autotech internals.
