Only if there's going to be interference with the valves/pistons; honestly I'd take the extra compression. The builder can determine if that will be needed.
in all seriousness it depends on the style of piston that you are using and if is is significantly taller than stock, i seriously doubt that you will have an issue but it should be verified while the motor is taken apart

still going with maybe, gonna just have to measure everything once it is in hand and then order a head gasket. or just order a thicker one and take the small compression hit.
