Hi All!
Glad to be a part of this new community. I currently own a 2006 speed 6 GT (leather, nav, sunroof, etc) with 134k miles. I bought it in july of 2012 with 74k miles on it. It's been a long journey to this point, but I'm happy with where it's headed.
Let's start with the beginnings of my relationship with this heap... errr.... I mean amazing piece of machinery.
After going to our neighboring state of Ohio to purchase this car, I was absolutely clueless about every single thing involving mazdaspeeds. I bought it with a boost problem (would overboost and cut out like crazy) even though I was told I shouldn't have bought it in the first place.
Anyway, I drove it for OVER A YEAR with the turbo boosting as much as it wanted to. Ended up being the turbo itself. I got an Ebay downpipe and newer k04 to install to fix the issue. Learned a lot about the car and how to work on it in that year. Did all of it myself with the help of a friend.
Got various other common bolt ons and obtained a custom tune from Nick (6tuned) for 93oct. Attended the Ohio Mazdaspeeds dyno day and was satisfied by the results. (Over 100k miles and was the most consistent 6 there)
Went to the drag strip with those same mods and ran a 13.25 my second time out. I was pretty happy about it.
Fast forward to last year (2015) and I have dealership receipts piled up from various things that went wrong with it over the year since then.
In October 2015, I embarked on the journey of swapping engines with a friend who was trading his car in.

I'm trying to keep it brief, but I can add a lot more details at a later time. This is just my first thread and I needed to keep your attention somehow.
So as of now my current mods consist of:
Eagle H-beam rods
CP Pistons (Coated by Swaintech)
OEM head bolts
Supertech 55lb valvesprings (and retainers)
BSD
JMF Intake Manifold (with meth bungs)
CP-E Exhaust Manifold (Stock Flange)
GTX2867r
Ebay downpipe
CP-E single exit exhaust (no muffler)
CX Racing FMIC kit
Cobb AP V3 (6tuned)
JBR 3.5" intake
AWR trilogy mounts (95a duro)
CP-E rear diff mount
SURE front diff mount
Speed Perf6rmanc3 billet t-case caps
Corksport SS clutch line
TWM short throw shifter
Ebay vented OCC
Stratified EBCS
ACT 6 puck w/ streetlite flywheel
Aux mod
HTP battery relocation
Ebay led tail lights
Eibach Pro-kit springs
DSS rear driver axle
CP-E EGR delete
That's all I can think of right now, but next up is 6th port and some e85. I'm going to see what we can get out of this little turbo before I completely change setups.
