Will and I threw the idea around if I needed a pump gas tune. We ended up deciding it wasn't needed as this isn't my daily anymore. But yes, I do see the benefit of not being stranded on the side of the road without an e85 station nearby. I think from all of my previous 91 tunes, he's got plenty of data on my car and different setups I've had.
Changed the oil over and went to pick up the wife. She was not impressed when I had to limp the car home with a P0638. Looks like this used CS throttle body may have an issue.

Was just about to dm you asking when you’re gonna drive itFinally drove the car for the 1st time today. Everything feels/sounds/looks cherry! God it feels so good to be back in the seat and behind the wheel. Drove 50mi with heavy engine braking and high vacuum. The car is getting an alignment right now. The steering wheel was funked up after replacing the inner and outer tie rods. Time to change the oil and get on with this break in. Planning on swapping to tribodyn 5w40 at the 1000 mark and starting this tuning journey on e48!

My wife loves driving the speed. She used to valet cars in Balboa Park. She was the only person who could drive a manual, so she can drive lol She's just tired of the history with this car and I don't blame her.

So far so good. Drove it to work today. I changed the oil at 50mi and saw almost zero shavings in the drained oil/filter. I also drained both catch cans. One was completely empty, while the other had captured a little bit of oil. I'm going to make it to the next 500mi oil change and check compression. As far as the p0638, it has not returned since reseating the throttle body connectors and pulling the negative battery cable for a few minutes. Could have just been a glitch in the Matrix.
The hood vent is definitely helping. Coolant temps stay low. I've noticed 185-189 while cruising and upwards of 205 while idling. It's crazy to see the heat radiating out of the hood!

I'm throwing the idea around of adding a shock and angle sensor to the factory alarm on the car. I found a YouTube video of wiring it to a N.C door trigger wire to mimic the door being opened and setting the alarm off. Anyone do something like this?

You'll want something to adjust the sensitivity of the shock sensor. Last thing you want is a car going by setting the car off or a slight vibration causing it. An angle sensor could work but you'd be only using that if the car is being towed away. It could accidentally go off if parked on an incline.
Shock sensors have potentiometers to allow adjustment of sensitivity these days. The angle sensor is what is more important to me. To prevent someone from straight towing it from my driveway while I'm asleep. The one I'm looking at remembers the last angle the car is parked at and has adjustment for certain degrees of change. I'll give it a go and report back here! I'm even looking at a different louder replacement horn. All of this can be had on eBay for less than a new car alarm system.

Well I just tested if it's factory car alarm I have and it's not. I left the window rolled down and locked the car. Placed the key a good distance away and attempted to unlock the door while opening. It didn't even go off. It could still work off the door latch trigger wire though I think.

Little tiny update. Finally got the CS oil pressure gauge working correctly. I set the alarm point at 15psi for now. I also moved my ethanol gauge for a cleaner look.
The Sparco r333 seat is in. Along with it's sliders and Planted seat bracket. I ended up returning the 1st broken one and they sent me this red/black one instead. I'm not mad at all. It matches my steering wheel way better than the red/black/gray one previously.
I have an airbag light flashing at me and have read about adding a resistor to the airbag connector under the seat. I'll tackle that later.

I successfully defeated the srs airbag light. 2.4ohm resistor wired into the yellow airbag connector under the seat. You also have to drill out the rivets and remove the seat track sensor from the stock seat. I'm sure you dont have to cut off the yellow connector like I did but meh. The seat track sensor is just hanging free under the new seat.
The dude I bought the CS throttle body from was able to warranty it and CS sent me a brand new one. It hasn't thrown the same code as before, but my idle surges for a few seconds before reaching a normal stage and I think it's the throttle body.

So I'm about to roll over the 400mi mark and everything is cherry with the motor. Oil pressure is solid and consistent with the ford oil pump. Zero leaks except a slow seep from my turbo drain gasket (block side). The only thing that concerns me is a intermittent valvetrain noise. It doesn't happen on every drive, but happens only at full temp. It sounds like metallic popcorn popping. Only from a dead roll, up to 3k rpm and then stops. I never hear it on cold startup.
I'm starting to think it may be my original vvt solenoid with 135k miles rattling. I ordered a replacement gates solenoid off rockauto and will give it a shot.
The other day I overboosted to 40psi on the basemap lol So I definitely have to look at my EWG routing. I suspect the AN line I made from the turbo to the ebcs is the culprit.
