Can you remove the in tank fpr and replace it with one attached to the pi rail installed in the engine bay to regulate pressure?

You'll need to change the basket assembly if you want to run an external FPR. [The ITFP sits in a carrier with an integrated FPR.] Definitely doable, but you can't just remove the FPR.

That was a setup Will talked about in a video. I just have no experience w/ that method, and you'd be spending a tad more in fuel line and fittings. I guess that method would work if you don't want a deadhead system.

Did you use permatex thread sealant on the fuel pressure gauge threads? How long should i let it sit for before testing for leaks? Thanks.

Even to run a return line back to the tank you’d still need to rework the carrier to get rid of the ITFPR? I’ve seen some guys run just a line straight back off the external FPR and put a bulkhead on the top hat and drain the fuel back into the basket but they never mention anything about taking out the ITFPR so I’m a bit lost lol
