Exhaust cam shaft

So things are not going my way...

I got everything to do the timing chain and finally got around to starting it this week, have to pull the engine to get the valve cover and timing tool in.

So got as far as fitting the tool and started to try and take the crankshaft pulley off, I got a Ryobi battery impact that didn't move it one bit, so swapped out to a breaker bar, started to use that and I hear a loud ping and the bolt does t feel any looser.

After further examination I found that the exhaust cam had broke...

So any idea how that happened? I'm supper pissed that this happened and I just don't get why...

And anyone in the UK point me to a replacement one? There are a very few options on eBay right now, none that I can see in the UK.
 
I actually just gave away a spare one. If you’re interested, I can ask the person I gave it to and see if they’re willing to part with it. I’m in the US but shipping wouldn’t be excessive. Message me if interested.

And yeah, you need to use a wrench as counter pressure, as phate said.
