Changed the oil control valve and seal today.

Mazda box with Ford bag, but made in Japan. Hilarious.




My valve train has almost zero varnish after 20 years and 175k miles. Very impressive.

Shockingly clean. What oil do you use?

Always used Mobil1 up unit the last few years where I switched to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and then the last 3 or 4 oil changes have been Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w-30. I never go more than 4k miles or 6-8 months on oil in last few years. After COVID I don't drive nearly as much so tend to have more low-mile oil changes.

Get that dirty oil OUT!

10k oil changes are lunacy.
