Greetings from Detroit

Hey guys,

Been a speed owner for a little over a year now, its a 2011 black mica tech package. I originally had an 07 base model 3 back in 2014 that burned down in my driveway, that ended up being pretty awesome. Then had a short stint with an S60R and then an SRT4 for a bit but I always wanted a speed. Bought it bone stock with 50k on the clock last summer and drove it like that through the winter and then started modding it. I also have a 95 miata that I've recently started a turbo build on but thats still in the part hoarding phase. I live in the northern metro Detroit area, the Mazda community in general here certainly seems to be relatively small so if anyone is around give me a shout. Wouldn't mind hitting up a test and tune or dyno day somewhere.

Currently, I'm running the corksport tip+sri, autotech internals, damond egr delete and rmm, cpe tmic, cnt catless downpipe, grimmspeed ebcs, forge v2, koni yellows w/pro kit, adj. front end links, falken azenis fk453s, 18x8.5 +35 avid1 av32 wheels, and a few other odds and ends I'm forgetting. Also in the process of getting tuned on e30 from purple drank.

Whereabouts in metro detroit? I'm in Dearborn and have a few friends around me with Speeds. Welcome to the forums.

Ahh okay. You'll have to make your way down here one weekend. There's a really big car meet happening in Walled Lake tomorrow and they have them like once a month. Woodward is also a good cruising spot on the weekends in Royal Oak.

Yeah I saw an event page for it, I went to one of the bayside meets down there last year and it was a good turn out. I'll be at the CZero media meet and cruise on Sunday in Pontiac which looks like its shaping up to be pretty good. I'm out on woodward from time to time. The construction this year is kind of annoying. Hopefully it'll be done by dream cruise week.

Howdy, you're right in my neighborhood as I live in Clinton Township. You should get on the MMOC on FB and note the Michigan area in the local NATOR section on here, though nothing has happened there in ages. Also get on Lindsay's list in case anything ever happens again. @LynzeC

Yeah I'm on MMOC as well. That page is fairly quiet but if there is a meet this year I will most likely attend. If you see a black pu on bronze wheels driving around, it's probably me.

I see a white GenJuan around me at work and that's it. And some Asian dude driving a black one every once in a blue moon, doesn't seem to be an enthusiast tho. He ignores me.

Yeah I haven't been to any meets or anything since the dream cruise. I see a white 13 pu on my way to work sometimes on Ryan road but thats about it. I'd like to hit up a few more events before it gets too cold. Always down to help out as well if anyone around here needs an extra set of hands or tools on a project.

I'd like to do a test and tune at Lapeer yet this year. I guess the surface is pretty nice since they redid it. It'd be cool to have a gaggle of speeds up there one weekend.

I might be at that C&C considering it's not far from me. Just a pain to me waking up that early on a Saturday haha.

I just did a roll racing event at Milan about a week or 2 ago and that was fun. Haven't been to Lapeer but I've never been on new strip before. Might have to check it out. I just don't like digs in my car

Well, as I said I'm going to Midwest so definitely can't make that M1 event. Which sucks, I've been wanting to take a buddy to that at some point this year LOL.
