Hi, have you met Lilith?

Rokusek

Are you my dad?
Motorhead
Ladies and ballsacks, been a while. Wife and I have been stupid busy with life. 4 moves in the last few years, ups and downs, new job, a few promotions and a new house have kept us pretty swamped.

Almost two years ago we picked up a blown motor 09 CWP FOR $1000 from a good friend. We had plans to start work right away and that never happened. She just sat.

Well, we finally bought our first house and now have a place to work on the car. Garage is starting to come together. Still tons to do, but I have purchased a few things here and there over the last couple years. And now, just waiting for Jordan @ overspeed to get moved and situated in Cali to make moves on a motor build.

This isn't anything that's going to happen fast. This will definitely be a long term build and could be a couple more years before she's up and going.

So, without further Ado, I give you, Lilith.
She was a one owner car. Well driven, and loved. Around 120k miles the original owner took off from a light, shifted to second and the VVT finally gave out and the cams bent EVERY valve in the head. She hasn't ran in nearly 6 years. We have plans to do a full restoration on all suspension and interior as well as modding to get us to around 375whp.

She's in... A few pieces now, but I'll post some more pictures at a later date.

Thanks in advance, and I missed you all dearly.

Glad to see more OG's back on the forums.
It was inevitable, just couldn't bring myself to being on the forum's if we weren't ready to build.

I see it all on failbook where those who sold and have had a pile of other cars, miss their speeds. I doubt I'll ever sell my speed.

Failbook is the fucking worst. I've missed my speed for far too long. When this car came up, I was overly excited for it. But super happy to finally be making moves working on her.

After... Almost three years of sitting since I bought her, and four years sitting before I bought her. It's time. Helga is up and running, long over due for some lovin on Lilith. Uncovered and time for some much needed cleaning and maybe an unpacking and sorting through parts.

I saw that engine side ways in the bay on the stand and at first glance as it first loaded for me as a small pic then got bigger; I was like wtf engine swap did he do that the block rubs front to back then I noticed the stand.

Your one post mentioned 375hp goal, is that still the case? What's your engine build competent plan / turbo plan?

Lol, sideways and upside down lol I need to strip the rest of the parts off it.

As far as the block goes, I'm still not exactly sure. I have been reading a ton to catch up on the times and I need to talk with my tuner and keefover. I have a CST4, CS TMIC I snagged from work off a wrecked 6 last year or the year before.

I don't want the car to be too much to control. Ideally plan is to be a weekend back roads warrior. That could all change though.

More long over due posting. Still haven't done much but ran into something that... Well... My buddy @Mrthe and I couldn't pass up. Had an 08.5 CWP @Mrthe got through our work. It initially was going to be for him till we discovered even more damage then we wanted to repair.

Currently pulling the motor/trans and some other needed parts for Lilith, the selling and scrapping the rest.

There is some discussion of a potential swap but who knows. At this moment the car has no keys so we are using Lilith as a base to get the motor running to confirm it good or bad.

Time will tell but for now, pictars.

@Mrthe and I got quit a bit done yesterday, pulled motor as complete as possible for ease of dropping into Lilith for testing. We verified it needs VVT done, oil pan is cracked and needs exhaust as we are selling all the cats out of these.

Using the oil pan from Lilith and ordering a VVT kit. Might not be a bad idea to crack open the trans and inspect the shift forks pads while it's out.

More to come.

Tons of house projects have prevented this from happening the last two years.

Well, got some goodies. And she will hopefully run this weekend.

Well,

what was anticipated to be a good solid stock long block, turned out to be a bust.

It does look like the timing has been done the timing cover and oil pan are brand new, and the block cleaned up as if it where newer than the miles on the doner car. Now what... well... we still have a good stock block from the original motor, and potentially a good head off this LB.

The owner of the doner car curbed it and cracked the oil pan. what was not passed to us was the fact that it was ran dry and most likely spun a bearing. Tons of metal in the oil pan.

Some discussion and questioning moving forward. This car is definitely the goal this year.
