Hurricane Matthew Nator Assistance

Looks like I myself am going to be getting A chunk of this in NE Florida. Gas is running out all over the state as everyone panics.

Wilmington at the moment looks to be getting hit head on.

And people wonder why I left South Florida. This would be reason number 281. The first 280 all have something to do with the heat, humidity or New York transplants.
 
This is the first one labeled "M" for major that I will be in. Not looking forward to this.
 
Here at New River the whole base is strapping everything down and moving all the birds into hangers or flying them inland. Its NC so everyone if freaking out.
 
Costco is a nightmare. Everyone keeps calling about sold out generators and water. Meanwhile the optical department is dead for once, it's kind of nice.

No one has bought any books, I don't know what they expect to do if the power goes out and their liquor is gone.

Gas stations are the pits though.

Fun time to be a floridian.
 
I'm off work possibly until Monday. Raised the chicken coop, took down Halloween decorations out front, all outdoor stuff is in the patio. Had 7 trees in the land behind my house cut down that were dying. Their realtor took care of that. It's coming right for Jacksonville, but will be going up the state

The storm track is showing some weird movement after it hits y'all, im watching it very closely but if it stays a Cat 4 for you guys, that's serious business. Coastal NC is out of the typical stuff, water bread etc. Costco gas lines a bit crazy and some Walmart gas stations only had diesel. Its like mass hysteria.

I too am in a similar boat, I haven't really experienced a "real" hurricane. I moved to Wilmington in 01, apparently their most recent bad hurricane was in 99 where people were heading for the hills.
 
Well, nobody needs to push their luck. I have room for some if needed. If in doubt, get out...
 
For the most part, Tampa for now, won't get hit. So if anyone needs a place to stay while it blows over, I have a spare room. Just let me know. Everyone stay safe. Fyi, I am saying this without talking to the wife, but I am sure she understands, lol.
 
I have booze, water, a crap ton of ice. If anyone needs anything let me know, I'm on Southside not far from UNF and Town Center. The Mrs and I are ready to leave town if shit is bad after the storm.

Have sex obviously. Further north there is always an uptick in pregnancies after a major blizzard.

Haha, yes. A business associate told me yesterday morning:
Went to top off my car (needed 2 gallons) and the gas station had no gas.
Last night the grocery store was out of water, batteries and kitty litter. I bought some tonic water instead. At least I’ll be able to have gin and tonics!

I guess if you run out of liquor and have no books, you better have external backup batteries for the angry birds marathon.

Yes, I've heard of the NY blackout in 1979 and all the baby boomers born the following year. There are a lot more bible belt people here (more gayz), so I don't know what effect that will have statistically.
