Intake manifolds

I daily my JMF. Still better balance than OEM
 
This image is from my head testing I posted on the other but not here. The JMF does flow a bit more evenly after connected to a head. Note: this is a stock head. Expect flow imbalance to rise as the head is ported to flow better.

Yeah, not trying to argue, just to give information to the OP's question. Really, if you can daily an OEM there is no reason you cant daily a JMF. That said, for the people who dont need/want PI, I would just go CS or ST manifold. They are cheaper and will have better balance.

You can daily an OE of course, but my point is that you wouldn't be correcting the issues of the OE manifold with a JMF, you're just increasing flow.

MAP Performance did it for me, i dont know if they still do it,,GRIMSPEED used to do it also i believe

Correct me if im wrong, i got this kind of divided like this.

JMF intake mn.= for high hp cars/track use/flow uneven like OE/still daily driveable/highest flow.

Cs and Dammond intake mn.= for 425 hp cars and less/ daily driveable enhance/more flow and even amount of air to each cylinder/easier install.

16m intake mn.= great flow/ hard to get one ;).

OE intake mn ported with flappers deleted.= better than oe/better flow than oe but still uneven/was the first option/cheapest option

The thing I notice the most? All the horsepower. lol

But really, no drivability issues any worse than my OEM manifold once I deleted VTCS. (Cold start can be a bit rough without the flappers, but its just something you get used to, nothing that is bad) I did lose a bunch of torque and gain some horsepower when I swapped, now Im pushing 500+ range and the flow really helps there Im sure.

If you have a manifold that's been cut, ground, and re-welded by MAP then you're probably set as far as intake manifolds go.

There are also several one-off sheet metal "manifolds" floating around on the bookface groups. FoST manifold just flows, nice and light, and it's cheap to replace.

So...5Doors just fired my excitement level to the moon. Most of my ST mani bits will be here today. Of course that means back to the drawing board with my tune but hey, dyno is right up the street and I can finish it in an hour......:)
 
The extra flow will make load go up so if your boost based you shouldnt need to do much. If your load tuned then yea youll need to tweak it a bit.. Mind you 30 psi is only due to flow of the turbo. Boost is a measure of resistance to the ingestion of air. Maisonvi gets close to that on less boost because he increased the flow by porting his head.

Even/increased flow with an option for direct port meth or pi for half the price of a jmf is why i got it. It is a small price to pay as long as you can figure a pipeing solution out. If i didnt want to fuck with anything and i wanted it to work with a pre existing fmic setup aaaaand i have the cash them i would go with jmf all day. If only matt came out with a 2 piece FMIC cold pipe solution cough cough.......!!!!!!!!!!

If i was staying with oem fueling and a stock to midrange turbo then i would get a cs mani since it looks like a really nice oem replacement. To bad they dont wana release there fucking TB yet.... ffs.

The best thing i ever did was use hairspray on my pipes...nothing like haveing to squeeze under your car to fix a blown coupler no matter which one blew....
 
I peaked so far at 490 at 28.6psi. Totally load tuned on VT. If I can maintain 465 at 26psi or so with the new mani I`ll be super happy.
