Leaking through Crank Pulley alignment bolt hole

Good evening, has anyone here ever dealt with this? The previous owner or some jackoff who built the motor must have over tightened the bolt, because now it is see-through ‍ and I am leaking fluid through.


Any recommendations or tips? Thanks everyone

Proper repair.. Replace the timing cover.. Back yard repair... clean up and JB weld and hate yourself later on when you need to do something about the crank pulley and timing.

or even more backyard, cut the head off a bolt of the right thread and cut a slot to install it flush with a flathead screwdriver then send that bitch home with a bunch of thread sealer just dont use something like red locktite you will never get that back out with a flathead you need blue at most

I like Bunz idea for on the cheap. Try using an allen grub screw with thread sealer. It will be flush if the right length. That way you can remove it later if needed.

You guys are the best I will be doing this tomorrow! Grub screw is top tier!

I’m so close to starting this pig I did not want to pull the timing cover again lol.
