Hi All, below is a letter that I directly sent to Mr, Moro.

Do not know if he will get it, or take it seriously, but I do think that enough of us send these that he will get the point

Mr. Masahiro Moro,

I live in south Florida in the United States. I have had the pleasure to own and drive a 2012 Mazdaspeed3 for the past two and a half years. All I have to say is thank you to you and your company, family and philosophy.

I have modified it. Nothing too excessive, but I can beat stock V8’s now. On the stock block, stock K04 mind you.

I do have one suggestion if you are willing to hear us out. Do not let go of your companies roots. Do not let go of its soul. Zoom Zoom.

I, as well as others, have fallen in love because of our cars affordable “driver’s car” feel. Please don’t change that. That is what got your company here to where it is. It is in Mazda’s blood and veins.

We buy Mazdas because it makes us smile. Because we know it’s over-engineered, and that we don’t have to worry about it breaking like anything else on the road. Especially in our price range.

Mr. Moro, please continue the affordable, enthusiast part of your company. Albeit Mazdaspeed or whatever you want to call it. That has been part of your company’s legacy. Part of your company’s blood.

I hope and wish that this has found you well, and I hope that you take to heart our opinion.

Oh god, I just had a thought. What if Mazda corporate has been brousing Mazdaspeed forums since the beginning and we are the reason they decided to stop making Mazdaspeed s? Could you blame them for not wanting to be associated with us?

Seriously. Perhaps all the dildos and cats we enjoy so much, were the reason. Can’t have your cake and eat it too. If this be true we should be writing apology letters! Especially MonkeyBones!

Fact is, that is a solid argument. I met up with Mazda Motorsports a few years ago. They were receptive, talked about my car, etc. When I mentioned I was a moderator of the old forum, their faces went stale, and they pretty much walked away. So yeah, perhaps our heydays on the old place roasting people and acting like dicks may have come into play. Who knows. I do talk to their marketing guy when he visits my dealership, so maybe something is brewing.

come on you know that other forums are at best like short season single A minor leagues compared to the old forum prior to the ban of PhillyB.

And it just dawned on me that i have been comparing dicks with some of you for over 8 years now

Marlon always told me that Mazda didn't care for the old forum and how people acted on it.

Back in the day, it was the number 1 forum out there. We had fun but the attitude of it didn't jive well with Mazda. So yeah, it was not positive towards Mazda corporate. In fact, all Mazda employees were banned. It's a rule, no corporate Mazda people

Can I be the poster child? 226k miles and I will not let her die. Still contemplating new motor or replacing original timing chain and vvt but still, won't let her die. Maybe a new transmission. Should think about changing all doors/body panels. Probably everything underneath that has rust on it - which is everything underneath. Interior is still good though. Minor tear on drivers seat leather due to fat ass sitting on it for 226k miles. Bose CD changer is fucked and makes noise at startup to remind me. Radio stations aren't as clear anymore. Entire electrical harness is suspect but dammit if this car isn't still a ton of fun.

That's no fun, what we did was just shenanigans. Kinda like that place with all the goofy shit on the walls.
