Well the comparison of ethanol to methanol is muddy.
Ethanol is not considered an auxiliary fuel, more so a supplementary fuel. E will let you kinda push that timing a bit.
Methanol is more of a 'i'm gonna make a lot of power' kind of thing, I guess. I made close to 400 on my meth setup, was out of injector at about 385ish on an E33 blend. I guess it just comes down to the power you want to make and what you're using the car for.
Honestly, I wouldn't do meth again. I would just go all out at once and do a complete PI setup and skip it. That way, you aren't pushing the injectors and you have a very reliable fueling system. Meth can get iffy, and the money you spend in doing it properly is just better spent on a PI setup and some good failsafes. I learned that lesson, and have a PI setup waiting to go on my new engine.
P.S: Give me the exhaust manifold.
