My 2008.5 BM MS3 Build

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. It's like saying that there are brake pads that can last forever. In their defense, I don't think they expected us to literally think "forever," but the point was that it's extremely durable/long-lasting.

Point of clarification, they told me 650wtq, not 850wtq. Not sure where this 850 figure came from. Did someone say that number at ENM??
you're right. He told me 650 ft/lbs and 850 whp. Thats where the 850 came from

So the new clutch is in and it is definitely different than what RD Motorsportz is selling. I think it looks bad ass and can't wait to throw it in. I get the stuff a buddy ordered from Mazda for me on Thursday as well as some freshly cleaned injectors from @Need2pu also. So new bolts to look all fresh and clean and the new clutch. I can't wait for this weekend to throw her all together. I coated a few things with the KBS Xtreme Temperature Coating Primer and Black paint.

Black Paint (http://www.summitracing.com/oh/parts/kco-65102/overview/)

This weekend I'm hoping to get her back together and see if the clutch fixed my issue. I am 96% sure the clutch was my issue. It would cool off and the disks would stick to the middle pressure plate that I believe was warped and then it was hard to get it started because it would have to rip the disks off the pressure plate and then it would make noise because the disks were now unbalanced. It makes sense in my mind but we all know how that goes. But the weather has been beautiful and the homies have been going to car shows. I just want to do car stuff with my friends. I ordered Mishimoto constant tension t-bolt clamps for the intercooler setup too. They were a bit pricey but I want to push this car so I don't want to have to worry about a pipe coming apart at 30psi.
(If you want to order these go with a size 0.25" larger than the pipe diameter to account for the coupler and just getting these bolts to start on the threads fighting against the spring)

I picked the ACT Prolite flywheel to join the KY Clutch

I tried emailing RD to get more info regarding the friction material. I basically just wanted to know if it's primarily Kevlar-based or what because material characteristics can tell you a lot regarding what to expect in terms of longevity, engagement, chatter, etc. Here's the response I got back from "Brittni" @ RD: "I am sorry. That is information that we do not give out." I had to LOL :)

Honestly, I just didn't remember the info. I'm sure it's in one of these threads, but thought it'd be easier just to ask them directly. Apparently they thought I wanted proprietary compound and/or manufacturing information! ;)

Anyways, not to muck up your thread, but I'm looking forward to your driving impressions on this clutch.

Yeah they won't tell you. But if you call KY they will lol. It's nothing special it's just one of the disks that will work for speeds. Gotta sound special ;)

You know... Mama always says a special is as a special does.

or was the word stupid?

I just thought it was kinda funny some girl named "Brittni" was not trying to give any extra info. Lots of us Speed modders are very well-informed folks who research a lot and want to make an informed decision on what we'll be running on our Speeds.

They think everyone is like the people down there that just mindlessly throws money at them to modify their cars and just let that shop have free range at what gets put on their cars. So they don't tell them anything so they stay uniformed. A few of us from northern ohio noticed that a couple guys from "their crew" had no idea the other fueling and build options that are out there because the owner of that shop also "tunes" and he can't tune aux fueling like 6th port so he tells them it's no good.

On a good note I think that some of the guys down there actually know what the word NATOR means now and are starting to come around, its a shame they are so far away though..... 7*.....

I laugh at the RD page on FB.
LOL, Jason. So how do you think this clutch will hold up compared to your Southbend Stage 3 Endurance? If money were no object, that's what I'd probably get. Maybe even the regular Stage 3.

I don't know anything about this clutch. As with most things, it's going to come down to how you drive it. I know I'm not expecting the regular life expectancy from my SB 3, because I plan on beating on the car profusely. So I guess we'll just have to see what we see. Hahaha
