New headlights

Looking to pick up new headlights before I put my car back together. Dealer wants more than I want to pay. Has any one had good luck with another source? And did they come with the plastic sourronds that are below the head light?
 
Need 1 lower mount and would like new lenses. Mine are rather chipped and just rough to look at. Putting the bumper back on shortly and don't want to pull it to replace lights later. Dealer is about 500 on discount. Which is not to bad but if I can get them cheaper else where with good quality I would prefer that
 
I got new lenses from Amazon for around $100 a piece. They fit great and look awesome. There are several models from $100-150 range. I ordered the cheapest ones and they fit great!

Im going to be selling a set of headlights that I painted black, I just need to clean the lenses up.

I'm going to have a brand-new set of CAPA certified headlights available in the next ~month. I can do a good price (my cost + shipping) if you can wait. Just to be clear, these are for a Genpu.

I'll keep you posted. I'm waiting for this semester to end to do the swapping in of Skyactiv headlights (blue bezels FTW to match my CBM Pu.) Then, I'll send back the old headlights for their warranty replacements. Some of the U/V coating was chipping off of one, and the other's seal on top was slightly compromised, allowing some water to get it there, but it quickly evaporated in good weather.

Regardless, the point is it'll be a little while until this is all done. When I get the BNIB replacements, I'll open them up for pics to show their CAPA certification/brand-new status. If you can't wait, I understand.

What is CAPA certified? Are they OEM style or aftermarket?

They're not OEM, but they look identical - OEM exact replacements. CAPA certification ensures that they have a high standard of fit/finish that makes them essentially equivalent to OEM parts. Here's an explanation:

The headlights are on the way, BNIB. When they arrive, I'll open them to ensure they weren't damaged in shipment and give you them for the same price I paid, plus maybe a tad extra to help with shipping and insurance. I paid ~$275 shipped for the pair, so maybe just a little over that to help cover my costs. Sound reasonable? This isn't a F/S thread, so we can discuss more details after they arrive and I create a F/S thread and through PM, if you're wanting to move forward.

These should arrive tomorrow.

Hmm. I'll have to get back to you since I was really looking for black housing headlights and these would require me to work to make them black.

Just FYI:
Template public:_media_site_embed_amazon not found. Try rebuilding or reinstalling the s9e/MediaSites add-on.

Thank you! Those are very close. I love the black housing but don't really want the actual lense to be smoked just due to visibility issues
 
My halos are coming in tomorrow from China. So im going to try and install this weekend.... The headlights im going to be selling are still on the car, I can post a pic if needed. I have an extra set also painted black that I am going to put the halos on. Rice I know but shit looks cool imo.
