Ok, since as far as I'm concerned I'm the ZZB uncrowned king (6) I wonder if with with this new engine I'm building I'd use I should use an OEM pump, an EcoBoost pump or this one: https://www.mountuneusa.com/High-Pressure-Oil-Pump-Ford-EcoBoost-p/2536-op-aa.htm

With the last engines I've had Ecoboost pumps (they blew up from different reasons and not related to oiling).
Yet I was wondering what if I'll use +0.001" rod&main bearings and also use a pump that can provide a bit more oil pressure? Would this be beneficial to our engines? Seeing the oil pressure staying at 4BAR/60-ish PSI from 3000 to 7000+rpm kind of makes me cringe sometimes.

I don't see this being beneficial unless you are doing some heavy track racing but at that point you probably need a better oil cooling system. 60 PSI is good oil pressure , you don't really need a ton to keep the oil flowing. Lots and lots of people have not had issues with the Ford pump including myself "F2GZ-6600-A". For the price and piece of mind I don't think it insane but I also don't think it is necessary. That's A LOT of zzb's.

As mentioned above, unless you’re going to really be cooking your oil, it’s not necessary. I looked at that pump myself. I might still do it but my use case is different.

Also keep in mind all oil pumps have a relief valve. On these it’s about 80psi when that valve cracks. Keep that in mind.

the ecoboost pump works and is kinda the go to now due to pricing.

I used Mr. JTLips advice and bought a Ford pump (Edge since I had a large free shipping order) So when my block was returned from shop and machine washed... Was surprised that Block was skim decked after washing. Nice looking machining :) But! Upon looking into everything found aluminum swarf in head cooling passage @ block deck. Wow was surprised. So was going to brake clean flush oil passages anyway so did that with it.
Now back to my own observations if you follow the oil pump path... Getting to #4 exhaust cam journal the oil needs to cross the block 2/3's around. And with every thing cleaned was checking out this... Old pick up from ok running engine, clean tank washed.. This is a failure waiting to happen. Ebay new for $20. So the little things will zzb anything.
