[SOLVED] No power, enters limp mode on acceleration

So im going to get my car soon, the coil pack didnt fix it and now im pissed off that they wouldn't just swap the coils between cylinders like I originally suggested instead of buying a new one.
Ill ask them to scan the car to tell me what cylinder is misfiring so at least I know if my scanner is accurate
 
Dude I highly doubt your scanner isn't accurate. It's hard to fuck something up like a scan tool.

Why are you even worried about a rust proofing appointment for the car when it isn't even running right? Did they do a leak down test? Did they do any further testing other than just putting a coil in?

This is what they told me "he needs your tuner so he can put it back to a stock tune and go from there. Unfortunately thats not going to happen for any time soon. Were looking at least 2 weeks if not 3 weeks from now"
this is what they did, connected their scanner detected misfire on cylinder 4 and asked me if i had changed coils yet, they bought a new coil it didn't fix the problem. uh oh we don't have time for a problem like this tell him to come back in 3 weeks
Thats all they did replace the coil and my car was there since Thursday

I asked them if they could just swap the coils between cylinders to see if the misfire would move and they said "Its a pain in the ass to take the intercooler off well just buy a new one" this kinda pissed me off. My uncle got me the appointment so they squeezed me in I understand it's busy but they didn't really try to fix it. They didn't charge me anything thank god
But yeah still no leak down as no time, i think im just going to buy one
So now I wait for my usual garage to see me December 2 and hopefully we can figure it out

Something that's kind of concerning me is when I did my compression test cylinder 4 was weak but I kept getting different readings and then the guy that did a comp test last got 150+/- and he also comp tested it when i had him do a PPI and it was 160+/-
 
You're going to need an air compressor to use a leak down tester. Just leave your car at the shop and ask them to work on it when they have time. This is how it is in the world of automotive these days. I finally got to fixing another vehicle after it has been sitting over a month waiting for me to get to it. There is that much work to do and not enough techs to do the work. You'll just have to deal with it or figure it out yourself.

im not leaving my car at a shop to sit there for a month when I need it to get to school and work. i think it's ridiculous that shops have cars sitting there until theyre able to work on them why not just call the clients a couple days before. I also don't trust this shop regardless they seem lazy and I don't want them to keep throwing parts at it

I have a big air compressor thats not a problem, do you have a recommended brand for a leak down tester?
 
This should do the job and is cheap. I know you need your car to get around but you've got a performance vehicle that you're using as a daily. Why can't you load a stock tune on the vehicle for the shop to verify that isn't an issue? Have you considered just selling the car and getting something more reliable?

i could load a stage 1 or smt the stock tune isn't on my AP anymore, and they'd only be able to do that in 2-3 weeks
Not selling it anytime soon i love this car just being a pain in the ass right now, also would lose a lot of money if I sold it the way it is rn

For the leak down tester I was reading the reviews and they all seemed to have pretty bad reviews, there's one from OTC that seems really good but on the expensive side
 
Stage 0 tune but you should have the one for your intake unless it's stock sized, which should be fine.

Everyone uses the OTC leakdown tester for a reason; myself included.

I have a 3inch intake, and yeah I think i'm going to order the OTC one, at least if the leak down test checks out we can rule out the motor
 
On my AP my catalyst is not ready and so is my o2 sensor and they should both be warm. Is this normal?

also I’m probably just paranoid but I’m getting a lot of smoke/condensation out of my exhaust I’m not sure which one. it has only started recently and it’s only been cold recently less than 0°c or 30°f It doesn’t smell of oil just smells like exhaust, I’ll attach a video

i ordered an OTC leak down tester, i wanted to get a good one because my compression tester was cheap and is crap I didnt want to make the same mistake

Anyways I no longer need to wait for someone to do it Ill have the results for you guys this weekend latest. hopefully good numbers
 
So I took my car to the guy that rebuilt our seadoo supercharger this summer he owns a garage and he lives a couple houses down from me.
he scanned my car with his fancy fancy snap-on scanner, then test drove it. This is what he said,"Your engine is fine, its not the misfire the problem your engine is choking for air, you need to check exhaust". So then I told him i changed my downpipe. he recommends I try disconnecting the CBE and see if anything changes.
Im not sure how a muffler could get clogged?
But at least my initial idea that it was choking for air is correct, so something is preventing my turbo from spooling properly.
Any ideas guys?
I know this is like the never ending thread but I appreciate all of your help

It's possible.

Just pull the muffler and inspect it, see if it weighs more than you think it should, might have a pack rat nest in it or something.

Yeah tomorrow I'm going to disconnect the muffler from the downpipe and see if it changes anything, I have a stock CBE in my garage I could put on, the CPE with the magnaflow is quite loud
