Not bad, that is normal. The bottom portion of the HPFP runs off of the camshaft and needs oil. The inner part of the HPFP is where the fuel runs through. So you are fine.
I'd be worried if you didn't have oil in there... how long was your car off before pulling pump? longer it sits less oil in there. also if it's leaking oil then time for new o-rings, otherwise it's fine rebuilt kits https://www.graveyardperformance.co...-hpfp-rebuild-kit?_pos=1&_sid=ce2cd2972&_ss=r use mso5 for a discount. CS also sells the kits now too
You're probably going to need to pull logs to properly diagnose; a CEL code will only take you so far.
As for the oil situation on the HPFP, that whole section is force fed oil. I used to have pictures of this somewhere but I think they got purged. It would actually be really bad for there to be no oil there, so don't worry about that aspect so much.
Hey guys an update, good news car is running great now. Turns out the guy who sold me the hpfp internals never told me the hpfp itself didn’t work all I did was switch the internals onto my old hpfp and it was all good. Rookie mistake, on the bright side I love this car even more now lol!
