Oil hpfp housing

I was changing my hpfp when I took it out it was covered in oil. How bad is this what can I do?

Not bad, that is normal. The bottom portion of the HPFP runs off of the camshaft and needs oil. The inner part of the HPFP is where the fuel runs through. So you are fine.
 
Thanks guys, I changed the hpfp but now it’s throwing code p0089 any idea what could be wrong? It’s also running horrible.
 
You're probably going to need to pull logs to properly diagnose; a CEL code will only take you so far.

As for the oil situation on the HPFP, that whole section is force fed oil. I used to have pictures of this somewhere but I think they got purged. It would actually be really bad for there to be no oil there, so don't worry about that aspect so much.
 
Hey guys an update, good news car is running great now. Turns out the guy who sold me the hpfp internals never told me the hpfp itself didn’t work all I did was switch the internals onto my old hpfp and it was all good. Rookie mistake, on the bright side I love this car even more now lol!
