Ok what am I missing here? Extras after valve cleaning.

Did an intakr valve clean, not my first, and an egr delete. Everything is back together but have 2 bolts that were chilling under a rag.

They appear to be the same as the manifold bolts but I can verify all a 6 are installed. Genpu so I didn't move the PS pump. Throttle body bolts are different and I cant think of anything I did different this go around.

Went back and double checked removal instructions on CS, thought I had the write up from th other forum but I cant find it, and can't seem to find a home for these bastards.

Thoughts?

fuel rail guard thing that noone ever bothers to reinstall?

Horizontal positioned bolts - right side looking when looking at the engine? I did see what could be a bolt hole but it didn't quite fit - probably needs to be aligned without the rest of the bolts torqued down from what I could see.

Tore everything back down, crawled under and around with a flashlight and can't find their home. Put everything back in again, car starts, no codes other than associated with EGR removal. Drove for 15-20 minutes conservatively and checked under the hood again. Everything is tight, no extra noises. Drove hard to work today and same thing. Must be a gift from the car gremlins?

Turns out while the valves were dirty and a cleaning would't hurt I had a failed boot on cylinder 4 .

Original EGR valve bolts?
I was thinking it was something along those lines - but the original EGR assembly screws are in the EGR unit (At least that's where I remember putting them - maybe I took them out for some reason) and the block off plate uses smaller bolts. I'm gonna look again when I get home.

Weight reduction, congrats on your increase of 0.00001% horsepower. Now go beat some Vettes and Chargers then report back.

That's my best guess, with the EGR gone the block off plates uses shorter bolts.
Nope, those were still in the EGR. Generally i try and put the bolts back into what I took them out of to prevent things like this.

I'll go back through and look again later.

So far nothing feels loose, excessive vibrations and more importantly nothing has fallen off. Hammered it pretty hard on the highway yesterday for the first time since so I dunno
