They do offer free maps with stock parts as well so you can use a pre-made map that was tuned for a stock car. I plan on doing that as step one. Once I get more go fast parts I will do an etune.

I guess I need to make myself a signature or something so people know I'm not stock :). My great friends here in Nator Tampa/Riverview/Clearwater area helped me with that!! I am also tuned thanks to Mr. Singer.

Soon I will be BT as well thanks to a local Nator guy who is parting out because he's leaving us for Japan (he's cheating on us).

Installing one of our pre-built tunes is as easy as plugging a cable in and clicking the mouse a few times. Nothing to fear :)

In your opinion how do the prebuilt maps compare though to like (for example) the Cobb AccessPort maps that came prebuilt?

The AP ones were for basically any car. Does the software at least ask you a serious of questions to try and help you "semi" build your own?

I'm just curious.

I currently already have a custom tune on my car, but I have added additional parts since then and will need another tune very soon.

I know custom is always the best - I'm just curious if the software could help do a "semi" basic tune for now per what my build is while I get the custom done. Just a thought really.

The pre-built tunes are good for stock or nearly stock cars. We tried to cover the common mods like intake and exhaust mods. They are a great starting point for custom tuning. The farther away from stock you get, the harder it is to use a generic tune.

I figured that would be the case. I just had to ask. Thank you for the quick reply!

Guys, if you have any doubts as to whether or not you are getting a great product, fear not! VT is awesome, and what's even better is the customer service from @steve@versatune and @ugnius@versatune.

I had a really weird bug pop up with my laptop that caused a bricked ECU, and while I don't think it was a VersaTune issue (looking at you VMWare), Steve and Ugnius spent a lot of time working through potential fixes and eventually got me back on the road.

10/10 would buy another license from them without question.

If you are on the facebook group "mazdaspeed 3 owners" you should tell them your story. Maybe get some of them on this train. I have a post about the group buy on there.
