Post ZZB Diaries CWP Gen1

Nope don't recall :p

Just kidding I'd still like to but a) I don't want people to think I'm faster than I am and b) I don't want people to think I'm copying Shawn Jaworski lol I've already been called out for it because my Speed so happens to be the same color as his.

First priorities are getting suspension setup for the track and actually getting myself the skills to handle a 600whp car on the 1/4. Then maybe we'll go crazy and dial this girl up to 11.

People are just little bitches. Besides, Shawn is the OG copycat so you'd have to do quite a bit more than just have the same color car lol.

You only need 500whp to get into the 10s. It's all about the driver. Hell Teo ran an 11.1 on a 3071 making like 470 iirc.

Just need to wait until the track opens up in a few months and we'll see! I'm confident my car has 10s in it so now it's time for me to get my act together.

Corksport Lower Tie Bar is on it's way! I'll likely do a little write-up review on it once I install it. Probably tomorrow I'll also be ordering another set of NT01 tires for my RPF1s so once the tie bar is on, we'll see how the power really gets put down.

Also, look forward to some more changes to my setup soon...... ;)

I just had one of these 3d printed prior to having one custom milled. Hard to find step-up adapters for vbands

It's actually the Precision Turbo specific v-band flange. Oddly enough it fits inside a 3in pipe rather than on the outside like Garrett and Borg Warner v-bands.

It kinda sucks that everyone has a different sized v-band even though they're all nominally 3in.

Agree. The one I had (am having) made goes from EFR 2.85" I.D. to 3.5" O.D. custom downpipe (3.25" ID). Crazy setup, but should help with top end flow.

It's here!

I have a welder lined up to reflange my downpipe once I pull everything apart so hopefully in it'll just take a Saturday to get the turbo switched out and my new to me ISC coilovers in. Probably not this weekend but the one after that looks like it'll work so stay tuned. Then I'll drop her off with Will for him to work his tuna magic and make us some WHPs!!

If anyone needs a GT3582R that was babied just holler my direction :p

Anybody know what scent Old Spice is best for getting brake dust off wheels?

Got the Enkeis all ready for their new NT01s this weekend when I'll also be installing my 6062 and ISC Coilovers.

If the previous picture of my turbo wasn't enough, here's another:

It's just so pretty I can't help taking photos.

Ah, and I'm signing up for a track event April 2nd at Cecil County Dragway as a little motivation to get myself and the car into tip top shape. It'll be a full day event so I'll have plenty of time to break an axle or two. I still have never launched the car on tire so I am sure it'll be a very interesting experience taking her down the 1/4 for the first time. Fingers crossed though we see some impressive trap speeds and good ETs. I don't have my hopes up too high but I definitely am excited to see what this car can really do in the standing quarter.

I didn't take many pictures during install but the 6062 is in and the car is running again as of last night. I was dumb and didn't clock the turbo at first exactly like my Garrett so I had to insert and remove a few times. It really all went in without a hitch though and started right up once after a few cold cranks to get the oil flowing. The turbo definitely sounds different than the Garrett, more of a high pitched whistle than a whoosh but I like it. From the minimal boost I hit last night, it does seem to be a lot more responsive than the GT3582R, but I expected that.

The ISC coilovers are firm, yet forgiving. In the 35 or so minutes I've driven on them so far there hasn't been any teeth shattering moments hitting bumps, although the car isn't overly low as this is a race car and not a stance car. The rear is probably only .5" higher than it was before but I didn't scrape once on my drive so it's definitely much stiffer than the Koni setup I had previously. Turning feels crisp. I haven't had the chance to do a pull obviously since the car isn't tuned yet. Once it is though, I'll be able to report on tq steer with the new suspension.

Will said in tuning we'll probably neuter the torque and shoot for ~500wtq and then accept whatever WHP comes along with that. I assume it'll be somewhere north of 600 since my head flows pretty well up top. If @Maisonvi has his way though I'll probably make 599whp and then be stuck there forever and ever.

And when I was finishing up my dad took some pictures for me...

Wide angle lens makes the turbo look small (we all know the truth - it is small):

Gotta have your game face on when installing intakes:

Ah nice. I went old skool and threw it on the regulator.

I got a deal I couldn't resist on those STRI boost/fuel pressure gauges.
[doublepost=1490131579][/doublepost]Minor update: on the Nitto NeoGens in nice weather 3rd gear is entirely useless on pump gas (GT35 was clooooose to holding 3rd on a good road on these tires). Will is still cleaning up the pump PI map but I'm pretty pleased with what I'm hearing so far.

Soon it'll be time to toss on my Nitto NT01 tires, throw some ethanol in the tank, and make some real jam!
