First and foremost, and apology to @Matt@DM for the delay. OK kids, here we go. Wall o Text warning! Christine had around 152,000 miles on here at time of install. Over the near 13 years of ownership, have run at least 5 rear mounts, 3 trans mounts, and 1 passenger mount. Last year, I noticed some issues, linked to just 60-70K miles on the rear mount I had. I basically stole a used DM rear mount, and some noise/vibes reduced. Fast forward a year, and the nearly 80K miles on the passenger and trans mounts I had on it, were showing their age. Vibes, shift issues. BUT, and I stress this, I have removed and reinstalled both many times and ZERO catastrophic failures. In fact, I could probably have just updated the side mount bushings (and still can) and be good to go. These are the Hurricane Sandy mounts I got from KMAC on MSF old. But then I got an offer I could not refuse, and the option to potentially quiet the ride down for my commuter car, as I went from 8 miles a day when I got them, to nearly 75, hauling kids to and from school and then work. I just needed some quiet and vibration reduction.

So I had the opportunity to test out a couple scratch and dent Damond Motorsports mounts for the passenger and transmission side after I inquired if he had a pair.

Install meat happened 3 1/2 and 5,000 miles ago, and went in easily with the directions pretty dang clear. Awesome help form the local Nator in getting it done, as well as knocking out some amazing BBQ!

Immediately, shifting was smooth, no more missed shifts, and it was a LOT quieter than my old tried and true mounts were. Made for a lot easier drive. Super impressed in just everything, and just like people have been saying, they are quieter and smoother, and pretty dang spiffy.

Thank you for your support of Mazdaspeeds.org, @Matt@DM!

My engine doesn’t even move on start up with the Damond mounts. And it may help that a certain someone installed the passenger mount for me. @Matt@DM

I secretly hope DM and HTP make parts for the LS3 someday.

IIRC he has the new version with the steel plate design.

I haz de olde aluminum block design.

Glad you're liking the mounts, seems like they're definitely the way to go.

I really got get myself fully mounted from Damond, currently Cobb RMM and OEM pmm/tmm. Now if they made a black with white set that'd be amazing IMO.

The bushings are removable so you could powdercoat them whatever color. That'd be pretty cool actually.

Now that's an idea! Do you mean powder coat the bushing? Because that's what I'd want white not the metal part. got a bit of black and white theme going, although white is a PITA to keep clean especially up here in Canada...but that's not the point of this thread.

Haha I meant powdercoat the metal parts. The bushings are OTS so maybe DM's supplier could cook you up a set in white?

5 years later, 2 1/2 to 3 off the road and 12k miles later, still awesome!
