Raising exhaust pipe?

I wondered if raising the exhaust is safe and if anyone had thoughts about that.

The reason is that the resonated test pipe I got seems bigger than the cat, and I think it will hang lower than the subframe (the cat is already about equal with the subframe) and so I’m concerned I could hit the test pipe on something without knowing it’s going to hit. If I could raise up the exhaust pipe safely an inch or so that would make me feel better.

If you want to go through the hassle of rewelding the whole exhaust to change it's location

New exhaust bushings may bring up the exhaust a little bit... don't underestimate the power of just fresh bushings...

other than cutting and re-welding everything...
there's nothing else but bending the stock hangers, I wouldn't recommend that though, you may end up making the down pipe hit the drive shaft.

Angles are important just because the downpipe clears in the air, doesn't mean it will automatically still clear everything while you're driving and shifting... new bushings will help this though

Good idea, thanks!

Evil energy on amazon has them for like 8.99 for a pair Of EPDM (oil resistant and super stiff) ones if you're willing to wait on them...

Also spend the 180 on the circuitwerks V2 downpipe if you're going the ebay route, the cheap one's WILL rub, and it's atrociously loud when it does

At this point I won’t be doing a down pipe, but perhaps in the future. Thanks for the recommendation however.
