Hi guys this is my first post,
I just bought a msp6 a few months ago and it had a stage 3 ACT clutch and flywheel on it along with a new motor with 88k miles and other mods such as upgraded CS4 turbo, V3 accessport CS injector seals, CS HPFP internals, Raceland coilovers, CS cams, intake manifold, exhaust, CS down pipe, boost controller, there may be more but that 's what i can think of.
Anyway, I was driving on the freeway and it suddenly wouldn't go into gear and felt like something was "loose" I was pretty sure it was the clutch and flywheel, but mechanic said it was the transmission and ordered one for $900. We wait a week for it to get here and he gets it up and finds out it's the clutch.
Having not driven a manual in awhile I wanted to go with a LUK clutch kit both to save money and in case I mess another one up it'll be a cheaper one. He insists on getting another stage 3 ACT and says now it will be more money because it is a 4x4 and he didnt know that. I call BS, I think he is trying to make up for lost time and maybe having to pay something for returning the transmission that wasn't needed.
Also, if I do go stage 3 again, any resources on how to get used to the stage 3 especially first gear?
