Safe mode P0171, P0300

So small air leak at idle then. Just large enough to cause issues at idle, but not relevant past there.

Check small hoses, clamps, bolt tightness on gasketed parts couplers for small holes, etc.

Needed some gas today so took it for a drive.

I reconnected the ECU harness and made sure no wires were visibly compromised.

Misfire was gone at first. Start the drive off fine and the car behaves as it should. Gave it a very short aggressive pull and it responded fine. I'm driving through my neighborhood so driving normal. ABS and traction control/stability control light goes on. Car acts normal for half a block then it goes back into limp mode. This persists until I get back home. Pull into the driveway and limp mode goes away.

I used to be able to get it to go into limp mode while sitting in the driveway by throttling up to 4kish RPMs. That doesn't throw it into limp mode anymore. I had ro drive it before it would go back into limp.mode.

Been trying to trigger it again while sitting in the driveway but it doesn't seem to want to do it

And just learned how to read the ABS module codes.

It threw u0401 which is invalid data from ECM/PCM and c0020-1 which is ABS pump module failure. Tapped on the ABS module and that went away after clearing the codes.

Log your drive so you can see whats going on when it goes into limp mode. I'd stop the log after it goes into limp mode so you have a good reference point though.
Edit : my scan tool does not have log capabilities. I'll need to figure out another way to log them

I did also see that there is a TSB for the random misfire code and reprogamming the ECM/PCM for my year.

Some of the CX7s with the DISI motor have a TSB for reprogramming due to the ABS error codes I have received.

So, should I get it reprogrammed and go from there or start with something else?
