Hey friends,
I would just like you to take a look at my data log to help ease my mind. After months of ups and downs with my car chasing the issues I was having I have a normal 1-6, normal driving condition Datalog. I did WOT in 6th, just to see what it would do.
I've noticed that in 6th, driving normal, the knock will jump around to 8.0 back to 0. However from what I read the engine will do this in an effort to save gas, just wondering if that's way to much as I had a lot of knock before hand as well.
Thanks !

WOT in 6th is a good way to bend a rod/blow the motor, so don't do that.

The motor will naturally pull timing via knock in normal driving conditions for fuel efficiency as I understand it, which is totally normal. Unless you are in boost/at WOT, knock is not worth paying attention to.

Noted ! I was just trying to get an even log and see if anything weird would pop up.
To tell everyone the truth I'm actually quit nervous about driving it now, like I feel the other shoe could drop and makes me a little stressed.

so you're nuts going WOT at that RPM in 6th... 5th or 6th or should only be WOT in if you've maxed the previous gear, or at least start it at the rpm you would have had you shifted into the gear. otherwise you load the engine and ZZB. if you want to log how things are going use 3rd or 4th.

1800rpm wot is NUTS even in 3rd or 4th dont be doing it until 3k+ rpm on a stock block or bye bye engine. so looking at the 200 RPM of full throttle from 1800-2000rpm in 6th gear I am not surprised to see the knock, otherwise it seems fine to my eye. really it acted as expected at that rpm, it pulled the shit out of the timing to save the engine.

If you want to see how the car is doing go do a wot log in 3rd or 4th ~3000-6800rpm.

sorry I'm being blunt, really just want to make sure you don't pop your engine.

Nope not at just trying to figure this out as I go along honestly. I take constructive criticism pretty well and I also don't want anything to pop
