Sho's Pu

Mercedes e class wagon over a van all day, wife has an Acura MDX love it. FIL got an e class wagon 2006 e500, sub 3k and put almost 100k on it, 2 car seats fit in the back really easily plus it still has 300hp+

I have three kids and a dog. Need more than a wagon for trips

Acura/Honda pilot/mdx/odyssey all suck

The SUVs especially if you are larger than a small woman

And I have an Odyssey

I have no kids, just the wife and I, CX-9 os perfect. With the dog it's a full car when we go places. I can't imagine having two or more kids in it. Even though it's a three row.

We have taken our nieces and nephews places, all under 10, and even two kids that aren't mine are almost too much when you account for the stuff.

Buy a full size SUV. Working in the wrecking yard business, as much as I hate to admit it. But a GM vehicle. They are money, but any GM from Early 5.3 and up, you're going to see 350k+ miles out of one. So long as they have been taken care of.

And, and, and sho, heavily modifiable. Get a nice Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon Denali, something. You'll be happy.

Stay away from anything @Easter Bunny listed, truth, they all suck.

Full size van.

If you like driving a Mazda you will hate driving a Chevy truck

For around town the speed is actually big enough for three kids.

We mostly need something that will fit 3 dogs, and eventually a kid or two.

Right now between her civic si sedan and my ms3, if we want to take all 3 pups somewhere; we either have to take both cars or I have to empty out the speed and fold down the rear seats and stick em in the back. Which still is barely enough room for an 80lb dog, a 45lb dog and a 28lb dog haha.

That is a lot of dog

Not to be Debbie downer but based on the ages of the dogs what is the likelihood you still have all three and two kids?

Toyota Sienna SwaggerWagon was great for us. Our Kia Sedona from Hell predecessor was a heaping pile of garbage.

DEBBIE DOWNER! but it is a good question.

All minivans are garbage. Just in their own ways. All Chrysler has terrible wiring and transmissions and transfer cases if they are AWD.

The Odyssey the 3.5 is fuckin trash.

The Sienna AWD particularly have terrible transmissions.

All Kias are trash, nobody should own one.

If, and this is a YUGE If, you did buy a minivan , I would go with the Odyssey only because they have the least amount of problems.

Transit Ecoboost is the way

I have found conversion companies that I'll build them with three rows of captain seats

One just turned 5 in January, one will be 3 in May, and the other turns 1 in April.

Kids probably won't be for another year or 2 minimum.

Assuming the pups stay healthy, they all have a life expectancy of 12+ years.

So eventually yes, one full size SUV or van will be a must.

But for now, something cx90,pilot,highlander sized should cut it.

We rented a pacifica (puke) to drive to Maryland and back from KY for our trip as we dropped the pups off at Michelle's parents and flew out from DC. It was more than enough room for them 3, all 3 crates, toys and 2.5 weeks worth of luggage for 2 people. But damn are vans lame lol

Honestly if kids are that close just buy something now that will work. It costs a lot of money to change keys.

I agree I hate the Odyssey there isn't much really wrong with it but it could have been so much better if they had just tried a little bit

From what i have heard stay away from the cx-90, we almost traded out cx-9 in and the service manager was highly against it. Too many issues already.

That's my biggest issue with Honda right now. The interiors and technology for what you pay are lackluster. The j35 is a good v6, but damn is it outdated.

I feel every manufacturer has issues right now. Pilots have leaking panoramic sunroof, some of them are having transmission issues already, if it's barely misting outside all the driver assist features freak out. Toyota is having bearing issues with the motor in the sequoia and tundra, people are complaining about the shifting of the transmission on the cx90s etc. Post covid, quality has taken a shit for everyone

Our Odyssey is a 2015 and the engine is fine but it has a completely trash transmission

And yea the radio is a decade behind my wife's 2013 cx-5

I think the design philosophy was " fuck it people will buy it anyway"

Our Sienna was perfect. Put a ton of miles on it, and traded for a CX-5.

I test drove a couple of siennas when we were shopping. The only evidence I have that the steering wheel was in fact attached to the front wheels is that I managed to not hit anything. Handled worse than a 70s boat with blown shocks. Actually take that back handled worse than an actual boat

Wife drives a cx5 car has been flawless for 210k miles. Total repairs replace front control arms due to bad ball joints. Actually got 111 k miles out of the last set of tires

For shits and giggles...from when the wheel cracked. Popped the hatch to find just the bose sub in the spare tire well. So did have to get it towed.
