Should I replace my downpipe gasket when upgrading? + tuning question

I have a turboxs downpipe and testpipe I plan to install soon, but want to avoid any leaks. For those wondering, yes I have upgraded HPFP internals. My car (2009 gen 1) has 155k miles on it, with I believe the original downpipe gasket and exhaust gaskets. When I bought the DP, the guy threw in an OEM used DP gasket, “in case I needed it.” It looks used but still fine.

1: So, do I need to replace my downpipe gasket when installing my new pipe or should I be fine using one of the two used ones I have?

2: Can I also get away with reusing my donut gaskets for the testpipe?

3: I need a tune to use the downpipe. I plan on freektune’s OTS plus map. I need to bolt everything on and wait for the map before starting the car, correct? Reason I ask is I want to make sure everything I installed is not leaking and not waste the tuners time or my money.

TIA everyone!

The gaskets could be reused if they’re still in good condition. Worst case it leaks and you unbolt the downpipe. Aftermarket that should take like 10-15 mins

A freak OTS+ is a base map + revision (sometimes he’ll give you more according to peer experiences)

so you’ll have the basemap ready to go by the time you’re done installing, assuming you ordered it before hand. Having the map isn’t necessary for the car to start, you can turn it on and check for leaks even if you don’t have the map in time.

Epic!! Thanks StayFrausty. Also, is there much of an issue with exhaust leaks beyond the downpipe? Obviously it’s better to avoid them but what is your experience should they arise?

well the car will sound like shit, that’s enough of a reason for me to fix one lmao.
