weird noise not at idle but when rpm’s brought above 2k

just rebuilt and installed new engine into my 2007 mazdaspeed3 and i’ve got a weird noise, can idles and revs fine but has an interesting noise above 2k

any help would be awesome!

That sounds too clear to be internal. Are all of the accessories new used installed correctly?

i believe so, i’m going to disconnect the accessory belt after i finish work to see if i can narrow it down, i’ve had a couple people tell me it could be the exhaust? could an exhaust leak even make that sound?

It does sound like an exhaust leak but he clip is to short to tell.
