What did you do to your ride today

I had to cut a couple of lines when I went with the stainless StopTech. Brakes bleed pretty quick though. I went with the Centric Cryo rotors and Hawk HPS pads.

You’ll like those HPS’s. Less initial bite compared to stock. But I had an EFBS (Emergency Florida Braking Situation) a couple days ago. Sumabitchs stop on a dime when needed from 45mph.

Finally got the car in the garage and on jack stands. Oil change done and about to pull the plug on some aesthetics. might also change the TMIC and go to FMIC.

My CS Oil Catch Can will be installed tomorrow. I dropped down to Stage 2 91 OCT, because I don't have a FMIC. Still waiting for Dizzy Tuning to come out with their OTS, or I should just let them do the car right. Oh, I got some new tires last week but forgot to post. I think it may be time for some chrome wheels..... Still loving it!

I drove my CX-9 about 400 miles to my weekend assigned church about 3 hours one way. !Now that I have the oil catch can set up in place, and the new CS throttle body arrived (Thanks Brett and Luke). As soon as the dealer has the rear anti-sway bar links in stock, I will take the Speeder to have all of this stuff put on. I know, it’s time for a tune....I experienced what some of your warned: The OTS tunes sure do run rich! I uninstalled the COBB AV.3 and am running a stock tune on it. It’s time to get the 9er and the Speeder new oil too. When I have the Speeder that ready to roll, I think this calls for a road trip next weekend. The folks at the church like my Speeder, that’s for sure. Gotta “give the people what they want”

Oil change, tire rotation and new cabin air filter last Saturday.

@PadreDave why did you have to uninstall your accessport? I'm running a Corksport OTS map and I'm getting very good mpg, 22-24 mpg. That mpg is as good as a stock tune, with a little more response and power with the OTS map. Once I get the TMIC installed though, I'm going back to my Dizzy tune.

I didn’t have to uninstall it....I just noticed that with all of the changes I was making, I wanted to finish the “mod streak” and then reinstall it. I am trying to get the Corksport OTS map but there is an issue with the website. I will likely just go ahead and reinstall the Accessport Cobb tune today before I need to go into town for some appointments. The problem with the Cobb Stage tunes is that my mileage drops....because my right foot loves to play. While you guys up north are driving on snow and ice, this is prime time driving weather for us in AZ. It is not 140 degrees in the shade so no AC is needed and the windows are down, the sound is great from the exhaust....hey, I better reinstall it now! Thanks man!

I actually have copies of the Corksport OTS maps. PM me your email address and I can send them to you later tonight.

Yesterday I installed SS StopTech lines that I bought over a year ago. As with most installs, I had to ask myself, "WTF did I wait so long?" Braking is much better now. Of course having never changed the fluid after 95,000 miles might have something to do with it as well. :-O

I got the new CS throttle body installed, along with replacing the rear anti-sway bar thingies that hold the sway bar to the frame. Also installed the new tune I got from Eric at Dizzy/Drama Tuning. I'm going to run logs for them tomorrow..

Impressions on the TB? Thinking about that and the IM next before a turbo.

I've been making a few mods in rapid succession lately, and I also added the new tune today as well. Whatever I share is seat of the pants impression, which isn't worth much but my car is just hauling and is so smooth in all of the operations. That sounds like a Pastor talking, I know, but once I get my act together I will be able to speak more left brain.

Changed spark plugs and oil to get ready for a Freektune. Justin sent me over the first steps this morning. I'll likely get to it on Saturday. Looking forward to this process to see what can be done. More powah!

I'd also recommend the HPS 5.0 over the regular HPS. Not a huge difference, but an overall improvement. Better stopping power, no noise (although I've never had noise with any HPS install). I've got them on my Speed 3 and my wife's EX35. Good stuff.

I'm interested in this as well. Haven't found much info on it, but sounds fun.

I got the new CS throttle body installed.
How much bigger was it over stock? When i say bigger i mean the outer dimensions vs stock. I want to get it but the st mani puts the stock TB in a tight location as it is and I am afraid it will hit the block or lines that the stock TB barley clears.

Over the weekend, got my ETS TMIC fixed and reinstalled on the car. Also installed JBR boost tubes which have been sitting in the garage for over a year. Back on my Dizzy Tune map and the car drives great. I don't remember the tune being this smooth and fun to drive. As Jason from Dizzy Tuning noted when we were custom tuning, I had a boost leak somewhere, which is now fixed.

Next thing on my maintenance list is my ailing battery.

Took the wheels off and cleaned them. Found out that one of my XXRs has a crack in the rim. If you run XXRs or any cheap wheel i suggest inspecting them from time to time. Need to stop being cheap and buy a real set of wheels this time around.

Checked my oil it's high on the dipstick and this is under my oil cap...part of me thinks my coolant reservoir is everso slightly lower than it has been but I'm not sure hoping I'm paranoid will do an oil change, send a sample to Blackstone and do a compression test.
