Effects of high eth content on fuel level sensor

I ordered a gen 1 level sensor to compare and see what exactly is different between both gens. Sent from tapioca

Effects of high eth content on fuel level sensor

@VashEXE swapped his gen 2 over to gen 1 basket, including level sensor. Seems like it required some minor modification. https://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/gen1-fuel-pump-assembly-in-gen2.3208/

Effects of high eth content on fuel level sensor

Can someone work their magic and get the rest of these thread pages to load? I think littleloogy describes a solution somewhere in the 18 pages: http://www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum/f567/e85-remedy-hpfp-hardware-modifications-164812/index18/

Yeah I've been trying to find the thread about this to at least bring it back up on this forum. No luck so far though.

Ethanol and fuel safe. Similar to what ethanol content sensor boards get coated in?

Still leaning forward on this EZ turn stuff. We'll see if smothering it on everything has any effect.

Effects of high eth content on fuel level sensor

I thought the same exact thing. Sourcing a connector similar may be difficult though

Effects of high eth content on fuel level sensor

If that's the case, I'm willing to buy a gen 1 sensor and compare. Hell, figure out a way to run it on my pu.

Effects of high eth content on fuel level sensor

Not exactly sure what the differences are between gens. Is it simply the contact terminal material is different and more ethanol friendly? Are the connectors different? Resistance values maybe.

Effects of high eth content on fuel level sensor

First and foremost I am tuned for e48. This thread is to open further discussion on the topic. I have been having problems with high ethanol content and fuel level sensors failing. From research I've gathered, it seems gen 2 sensors are more prone to failure. So far I have replaced the original...

    Endgame setup- BW s257sxe

Fixed my coolant leak. It ended up being the plastic extension adapter that I had from the previous bnr S4 setup. I extended the hose to clear a bigger intake at the time. I ended up just swapping the broken plastic piece for an aluminum 3/4 to 3/4 barbed adapter. I swapped in the 3rd CS...

Well it ended up not being a throttle body for now at least. No more psychotic idle surging. I noticed my fuel pressure regulator gauge was reading 25psi at idle. I unplugged the vacuum line and set the spring tension to 40psi where I last set it. Added a dab of thread loc to the locking nut and...

    Tranny wouldn't go into gear!

Do it yourself and learn a thing or two. It's really not hard. 2 bolts holding it on the transmission and 1 line attached. I suggest buying a power bleeder (the one frequently highly praised on here) to bleed it. With that the bleeding process takes just under 5 minutes to complete.
