Endgame setup- BW s257sxe

Well it ended up not being a throttle body for now at least. No more psychotic idle surging. I noticed my fuel pressure regulator gauge was reading 25psi at idle. I unplugged the vacuum line and set the spring tension to 40psi where I last set it. Added a dab of thread loc to the locking nut and hopefully it doesn't move again from all the vibes.

I finally replaced the leaking turbo drain line gasket as well, block side. I have also developed a coolant leak. It appears to be coming down the top of the transmission, down to the ground. I think the replacement hose I'm using from the heater core down to the oil cooler is the culprit. It's resting right there on top. There's nowhere else really it could be coming from.

I recently pulled the in tank pump and replaced the fuel level sensor which had extremely corroded contact points. Maybe from not being driven often and 48% ethanol sitting in the tank.

Fixed my coolant leak. It ended up being the plastic extension adapter that I had from the previous bnr S4 setup. I extended the hose to clear a bigger intake at the time. I ended up just swapping the broken plastic piece for an aluminum 3/4 to 3/4 barbed adapter.

I swapped in the 3rd CS throttle body and so far so good. No rev hang or banshee idle. Let's see how long this one lasts.

Lately I have been fixated on why I can't adjust my aem fpr higher than 40psi. The adjustment screw will continue to turn, but tops out at 40. That's where my tuner wants idle pressure pre vacuum. I just find it odd others can adjust higher. I confirmed I had 65psi prime pressure KOEO from the in tank. And hit 30psi by 4300rpm without any indication of a lean condition. IDC doesn't sky rocket meaning the PI system is functioning properly. I may just swap in a different reg and call it a day. Can't go melting pistons again!

Swapped out that AEM piece of junk. This fuel lab regulator allowed adjustment above 40psi (even though that's where I set it) with no vacuum. It's a beefier nicer piece for sure. The locking nut is a 14mm and the adjustment screw is 2x bigger.

Short little update. I was still battling the intermittent banshee idle, even after going through 3 warranty claims for replacement CS throttle bodies. I started thinking it was something else and sprayed carb cleaner around the engine bay. I ended up not finding any vacuum leaks and finally swapped in the OEM throttle body. Well it fixed my idle issue and all around the car has improved on general drivability. I find it hard to believe that 3 CS t bodies were bad. Somehow I was killing them or it's just my luck with CS electronics at this point.

I saw your post about the AEM regulator and not going above 40 psi. Did it come with multiple springs? I had one that had a few different springs, one of them specifically for carbureted setups which is a lower pressure.

It did not come with multiple springs in the kit. I bought it brand new through Damond when I picked up the PI adapter kit/rail from them.

It was this exact one. 1:1 rising rate boost dependent
