I believe it's called a fifth rail or something like that, where the injector goes on either just before or just after the throttle body. I could be wrong, but I thought that is done sometimes.
Cool. The product page on their site says PI is not supported with a TMIC. But I guess it’s conceivably possible. Another option would be a single injector option. People have gone that route, yes?
I looked it up on the thread linked by Cold Lotion. It said the JMF single runner was a bit better than stock as far as balance. While the split runner was worse than stock. I didn't even know that JMF made single vs split.
As far as the upcoming Damond, well, I'm not an engineer, but just...
FYI, Corksport's intake manifold supports port injection with a TMIC. (EDIT: CS’s product page says that it does NOT support PI with a TMIC. But some reports say it is possible.)
I was curious as to comparative reviews of the CS, JMF, and eventually the DM. CPE actually made a cast intake...
Dammond has a short on YouTube announcing an upcoming intake manifold! It looks similar to the JMF. It has the connections on the bottom instead of the front side, for a cleaner look. Also, it looks like you won't have to relocate the gizmo, I forget what it's called, that you have to...
I'm sure you'll be quite happy. Based on the topic, I guess you just got the rear? If you ever need the others, getting the full Damond set will be awesome.
I neglected to answer this question. I got some for my 6. I got the TWM, but I assume that they are all basically the same. They're...
It is my understanding that if you've got a really big turbo, you have to delete it just for the space.
As far as passing emissions, obviously if you are in California, it's a complete no-go. In most other states, a single device in not-ready state will pass emissions. And the EGR system can...
I have a 6, not a 3. And never used a CS mount, so my experience may not be directly relevant. But I will tell you my experience with my 6. I originally got AWR mounts, like decades ago. Terrible. Absolutely intolerable vibrations. Though part of the problem was I also had the Turbine Tech...
Thanks much! Interesting information.
I hijacked this thread. But, I guess I should return it to the original topic of the Turbine Tech front motor mount. Didn't look like it generated much interest and as I said, I certainly don't recommend it...
I bought your kit a couple of months ago and haven't installed it yet. Your site is down, for your move. Do you have the instructions in a PDF or something that you can provide?
Thanks. You are a bit off on the radiator, not quite THAT thin. The Koyorad specs 36mm thick, about 1.4". It says "over twice" as thick as stock.
For an FMIC on the Speed platform, I think most people use 3" cores. I've heard of 3.5" and 4" cores. Of course I've heard of much thicker but...
Definitely getting off the original topic. But when you say, "as little thickness as you can get away with", well, I'm somewhat confused. You say that the heat dissipation drops off rapidly. Still, it doesn't go to zero, thicker is still better than thinner, yes?
And yes, the stock radiator...
I still run to this day the Turbine Tech rear diff frontward mount. Seems to be a good piece.
They actually made an air to water intercooler. I don't recall anybody else making something like that for our platform. But I only saw one report of the product and the user said it was no good, it...
I actually threw mine out. I guess I shoulda sold it. At least for me, way too much vibration. I'm very happy with the complete set of Damond mounts and wouldn't want anything else.
I said in an earlier post that most people on BobIsTheOilGuy are not impressed with Tribodyn, but, then again, I think most of them haven't actually tried using it. As a general rule, BITOG usually gives mediocre feedback on "boutique" oils. If people using it are happy with it, good for you...
The OP says to, "Please do post corrections or suggestions". Well, here is what I'm using, you can feel free to ignore if you like...
First, the OP gives cartridge filters. It doesn't list options for people with spin-on. In the case of spin-on, you have the choice of standard length, about...
