Had Terry coming to help pull the manifold. And I went to go back it into my garage so he could work on it. Fired up and was perfectly fine. Cleared the CEL, drove down the street and back and is fine. Will start it a few more times today. Fuel pressure was good too.
Christine was pretty mad that I sat in a 2016 Mazda 6 GT last night and smelled the perfume of another Mazda's rich Corinthian leather. Guess I need to just vacuum it when I can, throw in a new air freshener.
Here are pics that got posted to my wall on FB to help anyone who sees this in a Google search. I'll try to find voltages for it too.
1) What warranty?
2) Just a felony if I get caught. Which would be bad as it is posted here.
3) She hates my car so this would just be icing on the cake.
Mauricio found the shorted wires. The shield wire and knock sensor wires rubbed part of the trans mount over time. Shorted and melted into each other, causing the clusterfuck. No other issues found, ECU opened and the pin was actually fine. Put together and it's alive!
Nope. Not at all. And nobody's posted the same cause as me so hoping nobody else runs into it. Googled the cel codes yesterday for more info...found this thread.
hmm, well I had a weird issue myself. the rear o2 wiring that runs by the trans some how had wire exposed. drove in the rain one night and car turned off and security light on. also popped fused 69(not joking lol) put a new fuse in and it popped the sec the key went to on. 2 days later I put a new fuse in and no pop and car started. that's when I went digging and found the small bare wire. my point was that.... sometimes the littlest shit makes for the biggest issues.
