That motor was probably making 300 when you got it with those heads.

Ford Racing Blue, duh! That'd be too much purple lol.
I believe I'm going to go with a dark charcoal gray for the intake manifold and valve covers and like a light bright silver for the block and heads.
I have been doing some research on this motor setup, and it should be around 260-280 whp and 300+ wtq. That motor was probably making 300 when you got it with those heads.
Lol I wouldn't like itFord Racing Blue, duh!![]()
Too bad you can't get a transversely mounted MZR DISI in there, setup and tuned to about 400whp. That'd be an all-Mazda built blast!I have been doing some research on this motor setup, and it should be around 260-280 whp and 300+ wtq.
Lol I wouldn't like it
I'm sure it's possible, but gotta have $$$$$$$$Too bad you can't get a transversely mounted MZR DISI in there, setup and tuned to about 400whp. That'd be an all-Mazda built blast!
Looks like spaghetti with white and black sauce.a box of spaghetti?
Thanks I like "old school"I like the fact you didn't go LS, like everyone else and their sister. Besides, Ford small-blocks sound much nicer![]()
Going carb, or gonna get a Holley, Fast, Edelbrock, or other EFI system? Thanks I like "old school"![]()
No carb since I'll be driving it daily lolGoing carb, or gonna get a Holley, Fast, Edelbrock, or other EFI system?
Nice! Yea def a lot of money! Well worth it at the end though! Tbh I really don't know yet. I will get most of the parts from Martin. I'm going to attempt to modify my subframe and see how that goes, along with the trans mount. Yea, I have been reading a lot on v8miata and very fun build threads and lots of info! How far are you on your build?Nice looking setup. I'm doing an LS swap myself. Lot of fun, lot of money though. Building your own subframe or going Monster kit by chance? Lots of info over on v8miata if you haven't (obviously) figured that out yet.
Glad to see another MS3/ V8 miata guy. As fun as an L3-VDT in an MX-5 would be, seems silly compared to 8 cylinders, especially when it fits so perfectly.
