Speaking of, that poor intake filter looks like it's holding on to it's taint for dear life.

Does your ms6 need a 5" intake?!

So how does the hood close?
The exhaust pipe sticks above the hood just a bit so no fireballs inside. The filter was just there because I didn't want to break in a new motor without one. We have a shorter pipe to close the hood with a filter, but it will likely be rammed through the headlight with no filter later in the season.

That filter has been through a lot, on multiple cars. It doesn't *need* a 5" intake, but maybe we'll get crazy later. No MAF on this car, so sky is the limit.

What was the key part in being able to rev out to 9k?

I understand if you guys don't want to share yet, I'm just eager to learn more about this awesome engine response you have.

A new control system. Rumor was that ms6 and gen1 can't rev past 8k on stock ECU. I verified on our track car that the ecu just cuts out at 8k. Wasn't seeing any signs from software vendors to let us get there, so made the move. The hardware was a concern, so we made sure to monitor pressures and stepped up slow.

The gen2 ecu can rev higher, I've seen confirmation to ~8400, but they may keep going. Also have heard some gen1 going higher, but don't know what vintage gen1.

I fucking love you guys, very nice build some more details would be nice if you have a blog :)

Just watched the video and that thing sounds so mean. Nice to see that you are using your FoST manifold at this power level.

Is this the same MS6 that is using your new LSD I saw you post on social media recently?

Versatuner will let you up these limits higher I think. I didn't try it but the software itself will allow you to override those limits at least in the calibration, not sure how these will work once flashed in.
