I think it's about time for a fucking update.
Been super busy, sorry for the delay my people.
I have gotten a lot done. I have like 2500 miles on the engine so far and has not skipped a beat at all. Running this 0w40 Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and the car seems to like it. Will be getting Blackstone to do a report on it once it is time to change oil.
Got my EWG dump made up. For those that don't know, this is a temporary setup until CS releases their new manifold in the next few months. It is working fine so far and I have had 0 issues. Just had to cut into the car a lil bit for it to fit, but we made it work. I'll go top mount eventually, and I have heard I need to trim up there anyways, so who knows. It worked. The dump is just mild steel and welded by my buddy. Again, went cheap bc temporary. Did not wanna shell out for stainless just to have it pulled off and not used in the future.
Started off changing out my ITFP for the sexier AEM pump. I got the AEM 50-1215. Only problem is the hooks this comes with. I had to snip the pictured clips off so it would fit in the housing properly. I am not sure others had this issue, but on my GenPu I did. Just took a pair of snips and broke em off. EZPZ.
Here are pics from install. Took about 40min minus the time it took to cut the hole in the floor the week before.
(Old filter was disgusting. Used a new OEM and it went right on the AEM with no issues. I did NOT use the one included with the pump as it just doesnt work with the OEM regulator and such)
Didn't take many as I was on my lunch at work and did not want to go over that. Finished a lot sooner than I thought. After install, car fired right up with no issues. I will tell you tho if you have a GenPu that is daily driven and you are in an area that used salt in winter, get a set of easy outs for the ITFP cover screws. 75% of mine had to be forcefully removed from the rust.
Once that was done, I tackled the wiring for the SS controller. I used the same hole I made for the WotBox wiring and it was a perfect fit. I routed the wiring behind that heat shield thing with the heater core hoses and I had PLENTY of harness left over to tuck it away (for my standards, anyways).
(Yes, I cleaned all the shit from everything. This scoop is a fucking dirt collector. Been wanting to make a block off for it or get that new vent that's going around... Decisions, decisions...)
Today, I tackled some more of the PI hoses and fittings. All I have left to do is put the splice on the HPFP feed, power the SS controller, and flash my maps. Everything else has been taken care of. Rob got me my main E85 base map yesterday and is working on the SS map too as we speak. Will hopefully be hitting the dyno by the end of the month to get it tuned and ready for Gridlife with my friends.
(Utilizing the gauge just so I can verify rail pressure at any time I need. Figured it would come in handy for diagnosing any future issues if they arise, and adds a little bit of a cooler look)
Also got my wheels and tires loaded up to get mounted tomorrow. Once these are mounted, I gotta drop the drivers side coilover and adjust the camber plate. Alignment next week as well and the car will look mediocre and basic af, just how I like it

(The bolts are too far up, causing them to be covered by the strut tower. Yes, it is cut, but my alignment is fucked anyways)
Chassis hit 100k also. I've had it since 36k miles and I swear I have loved every mile. Even modded, this car has been truly reliable and has only left me stranded twice for a clutch failure, and the FPRV deciding to crap out during a race.
I love all of you guys that have given me advice and criticism thus far. I really feel like I am part of a family and it's fucking awesome. But we're not done yet. I will try to update this more and find time. It's only up from here. Once the car is on the dyno, I will get videos of the runs, datalogs, pictures, you name it. I am fucking PUMPED for what it will feel like.
If you want any more info, just let me know.
I appreciate and love you all. This has been so exciting.
[doublepost=1557267751][/doublepost]And yes, the disgusting valve cover will be changed out. I have another one I am going to be welding vents into for CC ventilation and getting it all prettied up. I have cool plans for it, just wait and see.
