I was wondering if it would be safe to get a tune from HERE with my mods until I can afford a custom one. It's cheap and just need something to get me on the road

MSO vendors are not outrageous on their pricing. I have not heard of the Amazon tuner, but those who tune anything without cutting their teeth on our platform, are dangerous or just not as good.

You got a BIG investment in that motor. Don't throw it away over $100 or so.

That looks like an OTS map they made anyway. Do like @Raider said, and do it right. Going cheap now is just going to cost you in the end.

I would agree with Raider, you would be better to save $50, and use OTS map that is free and get a proper tune down the road. At least your no gambling your engine or throwing your money away. I am using OST map designed for my intake and it was free and has been working great for the last year. Getting a real tune done soon.

Sweet Jesis, you want a tune from the same shop that sells a pink necklace?

I got my ots tune from Lex at Stratified for $75. Spend the extra $25 and don't regret it.

crapatalk, yes it sucks for free.

But if I use my Prime account I will get a discount with the points I've earned. It would be even cheaper. I just need to be able to drive to work and back since it's my daily.

I'd rather not cheap out on the programming that's managing my motor. I'm not sure what they do for a tune, but I'd rather go with a known quality.

you should still be better off saving the money and using a free OTS map. Not sure why you think this amazon payed one would be any better then the free OTS ones provided by reputable company.

Here is link to OTS maps from cobb

There better if not equal to the amazon tune and there free

I looked up the free downloadable tunes and they don't have one that will match my mods. I think it's easier to just get a map for the time being and use the access race software to make any small changes I need to.

Dude you can do what you want with your money, none of us care how cheap you can get it. We are all talking about the risk you are taking with a tuner no one has ever heard of being used. If you think the risk is worth it, by all means, go ahead. But you will get nothing but "I told you so" from us if something goes wrong.

Edit: looking at your sig, you have a built motor and BT. You need a custom tune. There is no way around it. Spend the $150-200 and do it right.

all your mods are under the heading waiting to install. if you want a tune to work with thous mods, pay 150ish to get a real tune. I look at a proper tune as being the best Bang/$. Not to mention that will bring peace of mind that your running all your mods to the full potential and within safe reliable limits

But like @Maisonvi said, its your call and your engine.

Is he just pulling our leg?, part of me had a feeling.

I keep thinking how did he dump some much money into mods like he had listed then say i wanna save money on a tune.

Hey, I hope it was a troll, but this is the internet. There is no shortage of stupid people. Look at any of the FB groups, there is a person out there who would do this.

I'm to new to know who he was, i was just trying stop someone from making a huge mistake. Glad to see this was just a joke more then anything
