Building for the road course...again

I was going to suggest an Italian tuneup, but now that you tow it to the track pretty much all of its run time is in Italian tuneup mode.

Lmao. Yea seriously.

It’s still plated and insured so street legal. If it starts and idles OK next up will be the backroads for a run through the gears

Well it’s alive. Smoking like crazy burning up all the oil and whatnot from the exploded engine.

I got the coolant bled. Always a pain on K series but that’s done. It seems to idle OK?

Threw a code for knock sensor. Hopefully it’s nothing but that sensor has been coated in crap twice now from both engine failures. The wiring is also soaked in oil so idk.

BC shipped my rods. They’ll be here tomorrow apparently.

That is some good customer service. They quoted me 2 weeks but it’s been like 5 days lol. I’ll have everything to assemble the bottom end now so that’s great

Rods have arrived. That was super quick. Big props to BC. They have earned some serious respect from me. I will definitely promote them to others. They even included a small tub of arp lube for assembly. Don’t nobody include arp lube. Usually you gotta reuse the shit that comes with your head studs lol.

These are silly light too. Damn. Lighter than the previous set I had. These must be the new revision

They don’t look like much. Tiny little rods. Still rated at 200hp per hole though.

I weighed each rod. They are bang on 388grams each. Impressive consistency. From what I’ve seen on YouTube Manley rods ship with 2+ grams weight difference per rod.

The finish quality is really nice here too. Can see the hone cross hatching on both ends. Real nice
