Edit: This OP is a complete lie now, the grey car is gone and I got another ms6, it's a tad bit better.

I've almost had the car for 4 years and it's come a long way from when I bought it stock, here's as it is right now and all of the mods on it.

Hoping to order up the new turbo in two or three weeks as well as my rods and pistons so I can finish machining my block and start assembling the bottom end. I recently finished cleaning a head and will be throwing it on a flow bench early next week. I'll be making a thread about our head as I've found some pretty surprising things on it. The goal is to get the new turbo setup done by the time spring hits and not blow up the engine until I can drop the built one in with a fresh trans and tcase.

Haven't had the chance to hop on a dyno, my virtual dynos say 300hp/350tq. That's on 93, with only 20psi and suuper low timing. I go to school for Automotive Engineering and we have a very nice Superflow 4wd dyno in a very nice cell, but my prof doesn't let students put their cars on it. I'll pursue it with him more after I get the new engine in and can crank up the power.

The evo brakes aren't bad to install at all. The only things that need to be done are dremel out like .5mm of the lower mounting hole on the knuckle and either a) Mill the mounting tabs on the caliper so the rotor sits centered in it, or b) put spacers behind the rotor to center it in the caliper. I put on braided lines and switched to red stuff pads with stoptech rotors (you have to use evo pads and rotors) and I absolutely love how they feel, definitely one of my favorite mods I've done to the car.

Me too seeing as I still can't make up my mind on what turbo I want to run. Every week I keep telling myself I'll be happy with a 65lb/min turbo but then I tell myself I'd be happier with something over 70lb/min. I'll probably make up my mind right before I place my order lol
 
Made a bit more headway in the shop yesterday. Head is almost fully clean just need to finish cleaning the exhaust valve seats and then get it prepped to get on the flow bench. When I pulled the popped engine apart there was a bit of rust on the cams so I threw the intake cam in a crank grinder and polished it by hand, it turned out pretty decent but there's the slightest amount of pitting on one lobe still. I didn't polish the exhaust cam since I don't plan on running that one.

Thanks to @Maisonvi; for lending me his V1 and V2 JMF manifolds for testing. I've almost got my head ready to put on the flow bench at school and will be testing these two JMF manifolds (one a single runner and the other a split runner), a gasket matched w/deleted VTCS and a single runner stock manifold. I contacted other companies who make us manifolds but none of them seemed interested in having them tested. I'll make a thread with the results when I've got everything I need and have all the data compiled.

Soo, I bought another block. I got it for a great price and it's not even damaged, actually it's in great shape and the cross hatching is still even there so all it'll need is a light hone and I'll be good to go!

So now I've got lots of blocks haha. Should be selling the one that's bored over .035" pretty soon.

So now that I don't have to worry about custom sized pistons that will save me about 6 weeks of waiting and another week of machine work so that really bumped up my schedule. Hopefully things will start to come together a bit after I get back from Spring break in a couple of weeks.

In other news, I got my head all cleaned up, took about 7 hours in the jet wash and another 5 of hand cleaning. I got it in the flow room today and just need to finish assembling it and get it set up on the bench and I can start my flow testing!

No worries lol. Yea we have a machine shop at school where I do all my work. I just sold one of those blocks, one of em is just a block for mocking stuff up and the last one I'm building.

I feel like a record now but I might order some rods and pistons over spring break. I guess it really comes down to how much work I'll still have left on my plate when I get back from break. Going to measure the bores on the block tomorrow. I'm not really in the mood to bore another block so I'm hoping to just be fine with a hone and run std pistons.
 
Im jealous, I wish I had the setup to do my own machine work...or atleast access to it. I need to send mine out hoping theres no damage to the block either.

The messed up thing is when I went to pull the motor I snapped off the attachment ring and part of the head where the ring attaches. I think it got hung up and the metal was fatigued in that spot for whatever reason so it snapped right off. So I'll need to ATLEAST replace the head.
 
Welp, back from break. Back to the grind. Provided I get my downpipe sold, I'm hoping to order my turbo by the end of the week. Once that's in hand I'll mock up the oil lines on my spare block/head and then the fab work begins for the downpipe and dumps. Still need to reroute some coolant lines. Inner and outer tie rods as well as the new axle are going in this week. Shooting to have it all back together in 3 weeks. Here she is in all her torn apart glory:
