Would be simple enough. I might try this if I get some time. What would you want the attachment to be for diameter wise? are shop vacs a standard size?

This is exactly the type of attachment BMW uses which makes their media blasting valve cleaning process so quick and effective.

I guess normal shopvac size. Hose adapters are easy to come by

Missed this thread. I had actually drawn something for this years ago. A plate that bolts on and gives you a couple threaded holes to attach barbs and hoses to blast media in and suck out. Like the ST adapter plate, but smaller, and with threaded holes instead of port passages. Maybe I'll go finish that up and print one out.

Like the ST adapter plate, but smaller, and with threaded holes instead of port passages. Maybe I'll go finish that up and print one out.

This would make things a ton cleaner and easier. No more making your car look like you're painting a room when you have to media blast the valves.

Good news. The idea I proposed will work. The proof of concept I printed indicates it'll all work out. Should have a 3d printed functional piece in the not too distant future. Struggling for time right now, so not committing to a date.

Ended up being easier than I thought. May have a local try it out or something, but don't see why it wouldn't work. Maybe put a groove all the way around for o-ring cord if needed, but it should stop most media without it. Could put a little barb on the valve end of the media hose if more velocity is needed.
