Cts-v brake conversion interest

Any new info?
^^^^^ This. I have a feeling the CTS-V brakes are going to be my front track-ready setup. I'll likely use Mazda 5 rear rotors and brackets for better heat absorption. That's not really as big of a deal, though, since the front brakes take the lion's share of the work and heat.

Sooo, someone got them to work...

355MM 350Z rotors? So I guess we have an idea of what rotors to use now. Just need the bracket.

Looks pretty good. I wonder how much the whole conversion cost.
Can't imagine too much. The calipers brand new are $300 for a set. Throw in the cost of rotors (don't think they're too expensive) and whatever the bracket would be I can't imagine it being close to $1000.

Very interesting. Thanks for the update. Subbed for more info.

I actually messaged the site, they said with enough interest they might consider it.

Tanner was the person who emailed me back last week but it seems like we would need a group order. I am waiting on him to respond with how many people he needs to justify the costs.

Tanner responded.

We need 15-20 to commit to a group buy. I'll start my putting my name in the bucket.

Did anybody ever find a good floating rotor solution (not just a 2 piece, but a true floating rotor)?

If not, I dont see any functional benefit to this other than cosmetic.

A solid mount caliper with a solid rotor will introduce pad knock back when really pushing the car. If anyone has ever experienced that, you know how scary not having brakes are at high speed.

May want to include what the cost would be.
He didn't say but I am guessing it would be somewhere between $160 - $200 based on the pricing on their site. Maybe more since this would likely be a one and done.

Would that just be for the conversion brackets? I'd be interested; I'm tired of removing the calipers to change to track pads and back.

Who do I need to contact about getting one of these brackets? I'd love to get a set of these cts-v brembos on my ms3. Or would a Evo, or Volvo s60r, or genesis brembos be easier?
