Hello I hope everyone is doing well. I got in my car the other day and it had a hard time starting. It has always ran well up until the other day. It burns oil but has always seemed like it has good compression. There is some black smoke and oil that is come out of the exhaust. Also when I went to change the pcv valve (because of high pressure when the oil cap is off) I noticed extremely excessive oil caked inside of the intake manifold and inside the throttle body.
Also when I pulled the spark plugs 1-3 were ok but 4 was extremely fouled. I have it parked now. I just pulled the turbo out and it has play on the intake side. It gets a little stiffer to turn at some points and freely turns at others. There is a lot of buildup of what looks like carbon and maybe a little oil build up right at the intake inlet. It also has some vertical play in the intake side fan. Am I on the right track? Just trying to confirm before I order a new turbo cartrige. Thank you for the replies and have a great day!!
